Obama to sell economic vision in Olympics ad

(CBS News) In an upbeat new ad that will air Friday during the opening ceremonies of the Olympic Games in London, President Obama will continue to pitch his commitment to middle-class America.

The 30-second spot, entitled "I believe," alternates images of middle class workers with clips of Mr. Obama delivering speeches, and stresses the president's belief that the economy is grown "from the middle out."

"We're a nation of workers and doers and dreamers. We work hard for what we get. And all we ask for is that our hard work pays off," Mr. Obama says in the spot. "I believe that the way you grow the economy is from the middle out. I believe in fighting for the middle class because if they're prospering all of us will prosper."

"That's the idea of America and that's why America's the greatest nation on earth," he adds.

Striking a noticeably positive note, the ad comes as Mr. Obama continues to fend off criticism about remarks he made earlier this month suggesting that successful business owners have received assistance from the government along the way.

Finally, a replacement for "hope and change" - "growing the economy from the
middle out". Since that reflects his belief, it's no wonder that the economy
hasn't recovered. How much nonsense do we have to tolerate from this man?
The economy grows when EVERY class works toward progress with minimum
interference from government.

Refuting a false economic indicator is not spin, Dancing, it is called refuting false information.

You libbies will take any spin you can to twist your flawed view of the world and the way it works into something that would only apply in a fiction novel.

But that totally goes against the trickle down theory you republicans like so much! I mean if the middle class gets money, wouldn't it trickle down to the poor?

You don't appear to be too sharp either dancing, the economic indicators you mention are either inaccurate or false. You are simply regurgitating the liberal fluff you all seem to eat up so readily.

If you see anything that appears to be good, you will disect it and spin it until its bad! That doesn't make you sharp, that makes you appear desperate! ; )

Tell that to the people who have left the workforce because they can't find a job or had their benefits run out because they can't find a job, jobs which aren't being offered because business is holding off on hiring because this moron in office scares the he!! out of them.

The true unemployment rate in this country, counting the people who have given up is much higher than 10.5%.

More fluff from the Great Talker.

Specifically, how do you do this? Once again, Obama panders to the base, fluffing up some goofy idea, with no real substance to back it.

I, for one, would like to know what policies grow the country "from the middle out", whatever that is.

Obama is no leader, just a Great Talker.

It is not confidence, it is demand. If you put people to work, they have paychecks and create demand. It is as simple as that, no talk about "uncertainty" is valid. Being an adult is dealing with uncertainty, so DEAL with it!
