Oprah interviews the Romneys
Oprah Winfrey on "CBS This Morning", April 2, 2012
/ CBS NewsCBS News has confirmed that Winfrey sat down with Romney and his wife, Ann, Friday at his lakefront home in Wolfeboro, N.H. The interview, first reported by the New York Times, will be published in Winfrey's magazine, O, The Oprah Magazine.
Winfrey is one of President Obama's most high-profile supporters, raising money for his campaign and even hitting the campaign trail for him in 2007.
"CBS This Morning" co-anchor Charlie Rose asked her earlier this year if she'd be campaigning for the president this time around.
"No, I'm not going to be out there," she told Rose in April.
"I actually love our president, and have the utmost respect for him and that office and what it takes to be there. I will not be out because I'm trying to fix a network," she added, referencing her struggling Oprah Winfrey Network (OWN).
