Holder contempt vote scheduled for Thursday

What's next after contempt charge?

(CBS News) Thursday could be a crucial day for the Obama administration.

On the same day the Supreme Court is expected to announce it's decision on the health care case, the House of Representatives is scheduled to vote on whether to hold Attorney General Eric Holder in contempt of Congress.

The vote will take place after the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee charged Holder with contempt of Congress last week, accusing the Justice Department of withholding documents related to the Fast and Furious gunwalking investigation.

The committee voted along party lines and last week House Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi called the move a "scheme" related to election-year politics.

Republicans say the Justice Department and, possibly, the White House are hiding information that would help to understand more details into the botched gun trafficking program.

"Executive privilege" is not limited to the Office of the President; it applies to all executive operations of the government, including the Department of Justice, if revealing the documents requested would keep that executive department from doing its job.

Obama doubled down on Holder by claiming "executive priveledge". Either Obama is 'involved' in this mess directly (or through cover-up) or it is a miss-use of the priveledge. So which is it? Either way Obama, the priveledge claim is bogus. And now, you own Mr. Holder's problems! But hey! Cuddos for attempting to save one of your own.

Interesting! I read last night that Boehner and Cantor scheduled the vote for Wednesday because they wanted it to be buried by the SCOTUS-ACA ruling, which they thought would be Monday. Now they've moved it to Thursday, which apparently WILL be the day of the ruling. What does THAT say about the GOP leadership's confidence that there's anything to Issa's contempt resolution...?

Good!
Let's see if the Congressional Democrats have the integrity and stones to hold this lying criminal in contempt.
If they don't they will hear from the voters come election day.
People are sick and tired of this administrations disregard for the law and the Constitution.
