Romney's sons to Conan: Don't call them the "Romney boys"

(CBS News) Mitt Romney's five sons made an appearance on Conan O'Brien's late-night show on TBS Wednesday night to help America get to know the Romney family a bit better.

The brothers -- Ben, Matt, Craig, Tagg and Josh -- wore name tags so the late-night host could tell them apart. Tagg, the oldest, explained that he was named after a friend of his parents. "I was born in 1970, so I'm glad I wasn't born Moonbeam or Sunshine or something," he joked.

The comedian displayed a picture of the entire extended Romney family, joking, "When they get together there's a global khaki shortage."

O'Brien also noted that Romney's five sons are often referred to as the "Romney boys," making them sound like a boy band. The five guys did acknowledge they'd prefer to be called the "Romney brothers."

Romney's family -- including his wife Ann in addition to his five sons -- have made some light-hearted media appearances in recent weeks as the general election campaign gets underway and the Republican candidate tries to build up a more likable public image.

The five brothers shared some fun facts about their father Wednesday night: Romney loves to sing and may or may not be able to moonwalk. It's not true, they told O'Brien, that the wealthy former governor went to college on a croquet scholarship. They also shared that the Republican candidate loves pranks -- though he doesn't enjoy being pranked.

Matt Romney shared a humorous clip of a time he pranked his father in 2008, pretending that Mitt Romney was getting a phone call from then-California Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger. Matt played an audio recording of Schwarzenegger's voice into the phone, creating an awkward situation for the then-presidential candidate. Watch the clip at left to hear him tell the whole story.

Are the Romney boys all a product of the same marriage or like their grandfather, George Romney who was the product of polygamous liaisons (in Mexico to avoid American laws against the practice)? Do they prefer the Book of Mormon which they claim superior to the Bible? Oh, yes, I know, they don't want to talk about their real beliefs!

Creepy stories for a presidential candidate. Sounds like a bully to me! smooshing his kids faces into butter and laughing doesn't sound like somebody I would trust with my country.

It's been well publisized that Romney was a bully in High School. Some of the bullying he did back then would warrant a visit from the police today.

Romney is the one taking this militaristic approach towards Russia and Iran. It seems as though he is very anxious to start a war so i am simply stating that if he wants to involve America in another war, he should sign his boys up to fight in it.

Not with Russia (Re: history). But if Romney does start any ****, I don't care about his sons, and what's her name of their soccer mom, whatever she's trying to do. Who can ever relate to them and care what they're about? A public trash can or a fire hydrant make much more sense than those people.
