But Reagan might have actually done more damage to the earth because he convinced a lot of really stupid people that we don't need government, American workers, unions or the middle class. His Reaganomics ushered in the Age of Corporations and the current worldwide disaster we are living.
I believe he was a patriot, but a lousy one.
He deserved to be impeached for what he did while in office.
All we got for justice was his dumb look and "I don't recall" which was a sign of things to come for him.
While the Soviet Union fell during his administration, he doesn't deserve the credit for it.
Indeed records show they were in trouble for a long time, and it only took a straw to break the camels back.
There was a warning about it given by a former USSR spy which told the Kennedy administration that the USSR would appear to have a collapse but that in reality it was being handled by the very few at the core of it's return as a superpower. This is historical fact.
With the shipping lanes wide open, now look at what happened. Good ole Billy boy and his signing of NAFTA October 26th 1993. Billy boy laughed at Perot slogan, "giant suckling sound". You Dems cheered the BJ, cursed the church, and gave a thumbs up to, "that depends what the definition of "is", is." Meanwhile, the giant suckling sound was in full motion. Continued under Bush, and Obama. Prior to NAFTA, America produced most of what the world consumed, the dollar was never stronger, and no one dared messed with us.
You dems have the gull to mourn the good ole days of Clinton. Giant suckling sound offset by a fake housing market. "buy & flip.. buy and flip"
Here we are today with so much corruption oozing from the Obama regime, that one cannot keep up with the rapid pace. What should have landed these thugs in prison for life is forgotten a week later. Another scandal is discovered, only to make the 5th page and forgotten a week later by the Lib media. The cycle repeats.. Bush never had it so good.. At least the Tea party rejects the Rhinos and votes them out. You Dems are something else. You could elect Satin for the simple fact he's got a (D) in front of his name.
Democrats have no honor, no integrity, no morals..

It is the doings of the REPUBLICANS that brought the American economy to a standstill.
I do however agree that NAFTA wasn't the best deal for most of us, it was a great deal for the Teamsters...a Republican Union.
I agree that the sucking sound was something I also mocked about it. America however didn't need to provide tax incentives to corporations leaving the country. It doesn't help that corporate raiders take pension plans and cut benifits to working americans.
What they did was manipulate the system to reflect their goals, and thus have destroyed Democracy.
There are many politicians that are dishonorable, but the ones I've seen scandelously are criminal Republicans like Darryl Izza.
