Obama congratulates Romney on GOP primary win
(CBS News) President Obama and Mitt Romney briefly set aside their differences on Wednesday as Obama congratulated Romney on officially winning the delegates necessary to become the president's Republican rival.
The two spoke by phone in a call initiated by Mr. Obama.
"President Obama said that he looked forward to an important and healthy debate about America's future, and wished Gov. Romney and his family well throughout the upcoming campaign," a statement from Obama's reelection campaign said.
Romney aides said the call was cordial, with Romney thanking the president and wishing him and his family well.

I actually think Romney may be more liberal than Obama.
----
Definitely, from a fiscal sense, at least. He just today said we should be arming the Syrians, even though many of his Repub buddies disagreed when he said it.
Anyone else have an opinion on who Romney will pick for VP?
(LeftwingLunatics, please refrain from answering - I am directing this question at adults, instead)
Might bring in some votes.
But one can really hope for Sarah Palin.
But you're right - Palin would bring out the REAL fun! Boy, do I miss her and her flailing!
I believe Porter from OH will be the VP.
Anyone else have an opinion on that?
Please let an adult respond for once instead of yourself.
I believe Porter from OH will be the VP.
Anyone else have an opinion on that?
So - anyone else have an opinion on whether or not Romney will pick Porter?
You're both acting like 12-year-olds. Neither of you has made a single statement that suggests otherwise.
----
Well, you aren't aware that Lunatic has a habit of impersonating people he cannot debate.
I'm taking him to task over that. If you don't like it, leave, or report it.
The fact that he's cozying up to the criminal government of Israel is more evidence, especially considering that Romney has said Jerusalem will be his first state visit if elected.
He's much more probable than Rubio - Rubio is a good orator, but would be considered as inexperienced as Obama or Palin.
.
If you don't have any responses other than your usual no-substance insults, please spare the board from having to read around your hate.
Shouldn't it be 50001 after you were booted or were to embarrassed to use 5000?
----
That's the funny thing - you think by lying and bearing false witness you are embarrassing ME! All you are doing is guaranteeing your path straight to Hell.
My prediction is that Porter from OH will be the running mate.

Let's all congratulate ourselves for allowing President Obama to save us from greedy capitalism. Socialism works ! Wealth redistribution now !! Obama in 2012 !!!
In short, we already have socialism. Corporate welfare to prop up the corporations (and banks) at our expense. In which case, let's use the real term: "Plutocratic corporatism".
'Let's see what he has to say about THAT. And then compare the number of articles he's cited in the past with mine, of which here is a small reminder:
