CBS News has learned that presumptive Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney is set to meet with casino magnate Sheldon Adelson today at Adelson's offices at the Venetian Hotel in Las Vegas, according to two sources close to Adelson with knowledge of the meeting.

While Adelson's largesse and that of his wife was originally limited to his support for former House Speaker Newt Gingrich, he has indicated his willingness to support the ultimate GOP candidate who runs against President Obama.

So far, it is not known if the billionaire has given to the super PAC supporting Mitt Romney called Restore Our Future.

Adelson and his wife are to date the largest donors to the presidential race, providing $20 million to the super PAC supporting Newt Gingrich called Winning Our Future. In addition, Adelson and his wife branched out in February -- giving a combined $5 million to the GOP Congressional Leadership Fund led by former Sen. Norm Coleman.

Last month, the Romney super PAC Restore Our Future had its weakest fundraising haul with just $4.6 million. That was its lowest monthly fundraising total this year.

The next round of super PAC disclosures will be released on June 20th.

The Las Vegas Mafia, and Trump with his neck hair combover, think they have bought the unprincipled Mormon Bishop, who will raise their taxes and institute universal health care.

Romney was elected Governor of Massachusetts in 2002, but did not seek reelection in 2006. He presided over a series of spending cuts and increases in fees (taxes) that eliminated a projected $3 billion deficit. He also signed into law the Massachusetts health care reform legislation, which provided near-universal health insurance access via subsidies and state-level mandates and was the first of its kind in the nation.

It's just so tragic and terrible that our elections have been so completely corrupted by big corporate money. We have complete idiots who are greedy and narrow minded like Adelson and Robmee essentially deciding everything for the majority.

One percenters should be out of the voting proess. They can make all the money though. If auditing shows that they participated in the voting process they will be brought down to the 99 percenters; then they can vote. From there they can rise again to the one percenter and lose their voting privileges. There.

jschm2681 correction, Wall Street gives 57% or their money to republicans. Yep a GREAT RECESSION is tough to recover from, especially with record filibusters by republicans. But we are making progress, alone.

bob, crazy billionaires?? How about this from the AP.

"The AP's review compared more than 470 of Obama's most important financial supporters against logs of 2 million visitors to the White House since mid-2009. It found that at least 250 of Obama's major fundraisers and donors visited the White House at least once, being cleared for events like dinners or one-on-one meetings with senior advisers".

$5 contributions my a##.

great idea but that won't fly with the 1% because that wouldn't help line their pockets.... they're only interested in power and money....

Adelson only goal in life is how can I take a persons money. He has no concerns for anything or anyone other then himself. This just shows you what Mitt Romney stands for by dealing with this man. It called selling your soul Mitt.

Do you really feel that the people that go into his Casino have any "concerns for anything or anyone other then (than) himself"???

You really think that if someone won a $3 million jackpot they would feel sorry for him and give some of it back???

He doesn't need a goal in life to take a persons money. If you're stupid enough to go in a casino thinking your are going to win, you deserve to lose your money.

At least, unlike the government, he doesn't use force to relieve you of your money, gamblers give it to him willingly. I know it may be a foreign concept to you, but it's called a personal choice.
