Cheney: Here's what matters in Romney's VP pick

Former Vice President Dick Cheney offered advice to presumptive Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney on how to choose his running mate on Monday.

In his second speaking engagement since heart transplant surgery last month, Cheney stressed the importance of the pick. He called it "the first presidential level decision the public" will see Romney make, and suggested the candidate will be judged on the choice.

"The single most important criteria has to be the capacity to be president - that's why you pick him," Cheney said. Cheney led the vice presidential search team for President George W. Bush before he was tapped as Mr. Bush's running mate.

Cheney, who cited involvement in "a couple of vice presidential searches, some more successful than others," said "talking heads" will call for a vice presidential candidate who's a woman, Hispanic or who is from a "big state."

"Those are interesting things to speculate about," Cheney said. "It's pretty rare that the election turns on those kind of issues."

Cheney spoke Monday at the Washington Center to a group of student interns about his memoir, "In My Time."

Logically, Romney has to pick Santorum for Vice-President. IT will be the only way to pull the huge numbers in the swing states like Michigan, Florida, etc to the GOP side.

Dick was a lightning rod within the previous administration and probably the most influential. He had his own interpretation of the US Constitution and wasn't shy about invoking it. Also probably expanded the powers of both the office of the Presidency and Vice Presidency more than any man since Andrew Jackson. But, given his history I'd probably do the exact opposite of whatever advice he doles out. For the most in depth look at the man and what he's accomplished while in public service, check out this Washington Post Special Report. It's long but worth it.

Why is this war criminal Cheney not in prison? Maybe because he is rich? Shame on us. Shame on the US.

Puppet Masters

Cheney was a (Wrong-Ad)Vice-President that influenced the President's actions like not doing anything when red flags where going off everywhere in the U.S. economy, by starting a war on false pretenses, by sponsoring torture around the world to replenish the U.S.' feeble INTELLIGENCE, by upholding the National Rifle Association's (NRA) murderous gun policies (hunting includes the gunning down of human beings), by having past criminal associations with Halliburton around the world, etc.

Cheney and his pals* should be anti-examples of how to chose a Vice-President, a Defense Secretary, an Ambassador or Chief of Staff.

It is time to be the masters of your own fate America. Make the 2012 Presidential elections count!

First the VP has to be utterly souless, total hypocrite and willing to tell any lie regardless of how often it is debunked. That is what Chaney did and he still has not been arrested for his war crimes in Iraq. That is Obama's biggest failure.

At which point the repug voters that hate Obama on race will also hate her. It was a little disguised story that she was Bush's mistress. How else does a black woman get access to an oil barron's mansion in Texas? Well maybe as a domestic thru the back door entrance, but illegals are taking those jobs today

Cheney is a dispicable man with no morals, or concience. His and GW's false war in Irac has killed thousands of Americans, and many more Irac citizens. He is a murders that has never been tried, but he and GW should be for all the deaths, the loss of job, home and savings caused by their changes to financial laws in support thier rich friends. Cheney seems to believe that he did a good job as VP, someone needs to tell him the truth. But since he is a megomanic it probably woudn't enlighten him by much, he still believes his warped version over everyone elses.

Couldn't have said it better myself, but who do think is going to be advising Romney if he wins? I pray that never happens.
