PHOENIX, Arizona - The Romney campaign today announced that it hauled in nearly $12.6 million in the month of March - the largest amount they have raised since the former Massachusetts Governor entered the presidential race.

The Obama campaign announced earlier in the week that it raised a combined $53 million for both his campaign and the Democratic National Committee in March. The team did not release a separate total showing how much of that amount was raised specifically for the president's campaign itself.

Romney has so far only raised money for the Republican primary. It was recently reported that the Romney campaign will begin working with the Republican National Committee with a goal of raising $800 million to use against the president in the general election.

Romney ended the month of March with no debt and nearly $10.1 million cash on hand. The campaign did not announce how much it had spent in the month, though it is expected that its expenditures have continued to decrease from the $18.7 million and $12.3 million spent in January and February respectively, when he was battling both Newt Gingrich and Rick Santorum for the Republican party's nomination. Romney began to pull away from his competitors in the month of March and is now the party's presumed nominee.

Although the campaign did not release the amount or percentage of small dollar donations - those under $250 - that were received in March, their press release says the campaign has raised a total of $11.6 million in donations under $250 through the end of the month. This makes up about 13 percent of the $87 million they have amassed in primary funds in the past twelve months.

The campaign also announced that 89 percent of all donors are still eligible to donate again to Romney's primary campaign and that they received contributions from all 50 states and Washington, D.C.

Romney will need much more than this if he is going to keep up with the Obama money machine.

Fundraising these days is much more difficult than in years past.

Keep spending money, gopers. Your male version of Paris Hilton will never get even close to the Whitehouse, but we will enjoy watching his lemmings stimulate the economy.

You will not believe the actual money raised for this election. This time the course of the Nation will be determined by the voters. We will move into socialism/communism or Free Enterprise. That is the question the ballots will decide. The Budget is a tell tale project that says watch out for what is coming. What a battle we are facing!

Poor Robmee and the GOP. When Obama took over the DOW was at 7,500 and now it is at over 13,000. We were losing 750,000 jobs A MONTH and now we have had 22 months of private sector job growth.

The CONS were against the auto industry bailout, stimulus package and all of the Obama jobs plans. They went against all that and we STILL are better off than when the Bush Crime Family left. Poor Robmee and the GOP.
