The Drive: Big roadblocks ahead for Rick Santorum

On the latest episode of "The Drive," I talk about why Rick Santorum's supporters shouldn't read too much into Santorum's two wins in the South on Tuesday. Though he is now the consensus alternative to Mitt Romney, Santorum still faces huge challenges in winning the Republican presidential nomination, starting with the daunting delegate math.

@longtree-2009, Why would that benefit the GOP as a whole? The party is still split between Romney and Santorum. Paul's collection of non-binding delegates will **** **** up at the convention, There is strategy behind this. Hell, there is even a chance at a brokered convention. Wouldn't that be something?

When you say they are drawing votes away from the nominee, you reveal your true stupidity, as primary votes have nothing to do with general election votes. Would be nice if you knew anything at all about the electoral process.

it would benefit the gop as a whole if newt and paul dropped out of the race. let romney and santorum face off. newt and paul are just drawing votes away from a nominee that will face off with obama. newt and paul have no chance in blazes of being the nominee.
