Paul decries racism in "poorest zip code" in Michigan

DETROIT-- Ron Paul on Monday brought his signature libertarian agenda to "the poorest zip code in Michigan," outlining his ideas to reform problems unique to the Motor City.

Speaking to a primarily white audience at the Little Rock Baptist Church here, the Texas congressman and Republican presidential candidate tailored his government-hands-off policies to address topics such as racism and the auto industry. Rev. Jim Holley, who introduced Paul, lauded his "courage" in coming to this part of Detroit, "the poorest zip code in Michigan" and an area deemed by the 2010 Census to be 85 percent African-American.

"There are areas now in this country that still have a lot of racism," Paul told the crowd of about 300. "It's been brought up by me at the debates, but believe me, they don't want to touch it, especially in a Republican primary. Because I think where the most serious, or at least one of the most serious, places where racism still exists is in our judicial system.

"... In the drug war, we know that people get stopped more often and you just look at the consequences of what happens in the courts, if you happen to be a poor minority. Believe me, disproportionately you're going to be arrested, disproportionately you're going to be convicted, disproportionately you're going to end up in prison, and that's not fair," he said to a minute-long standing ovation.

Following the event, Paul went so far as to say he would "seriously consider" granting pardons to people in jail for victimless drug crimes. And seizing the opportunity to advocate his non-interventionist foreign policy, Paul said people in poverty frequently turn to the military "for economic reasons."

"But war," Paul said, "war is a drain, and it never is a benefit. Some will argue that, 'Oh, it'll create jobs, but what you have to ask is, if you didn't spend this money on the war, how would this money have been spent otherwise? It might have been spent building cars here in the country rather than bombs for overseas."

Paul said after the event that his messages about "the waste of money overseas" and civil liberties were well-received. He added that though he encourages his fellow GOP presidential candidates to follow suit and visit areas with high poverty rates and minority populations, he doesn't believe they will because "it's a little bit more complex than the routine Republican politics."

Reminded that his audience for the event was primarily white, Paul said he "can't change images of the Republican Party or what I'm doing with a snap of the finger. But I think there'll be some benefits from it and my goal is to change people's minds."

No one says that a 100% Black neighborhood needs more diversity.

No one says that a 100% Asian neighborhood needs more diversity.

No one says that a 100% Muslim neighborhood needs more diversity.

According to anti-Whites, they are already 100% diverse.

ALL White neighborhoods and ONLY White neighborhoods need to be more diverse. White neighborhoods only stop needing to be more diverse when there are no White people left in them.

Diversity is a codeword for White genocide and anti-racist is a codeword for anti-White.

Africa for the Africans,Asia for the Asians, white countries for EVERYBODY!

Everybody says there is this RACE problem. Everybody says this RACE problem will be solved when the third world pours into EVERY white country and ONLY into white countries.

The Netherlands and Belgium are just as crowded as Japan or Taiwan, but nobody says Japan or Taiwan will solve this RACE problem by bringing in millions of third worlders and quote assimilating unquote with them.

Everybody says the final solution to this RACE problem is for EVERY white country and ONLY white countries to "assimilate," i.e., intermarry, with all those non-whites.

What if I said there was this RACE problem and this RACE problem would be solved only if hundreds of millions of non-blacks were brought into EVERY black country and ONLY into black countries?

How long would it take anyone to realize I'm not talking about a RACE problem. I am talking about the final solution to the BLACK problem?

And how long would it take any sane black man to notice this and what kind of psycho black man wouldn't object to this?

But if I tell that obvious truth about the ongoing program of genocide against my race, the white race, liberals and respectable conservatives agree I am a naziwhowantstokillsixmillionjews.

They say they are anti-racist. What they are is anti-white.

Anti-racist is a code word for anti-white.

Odd that he presents to people a valid issue to be attacked by unsubstantiated reports. Let me ask you this...for a guy who has always been fighting to end the drug war, which is the most racist policy in this country right now...you are doing what to him? Call him racist so he can't end the drug war? I think the people who call him racists are really bunch of racists who does not want to see racist policies like drug wars to end. I don't care if you're black or hispanic, you are the real racist here.

These political "anti-racists" have been told to go out and find a White man and call him a racist. Its a trick. They always use it.

Ron Paul definitely support the repeal of the Jim Crow laws, and he said it as much himself. The reason for not supporting the CRA in full is due to what he believes to be private property violations. He's true in that regard, but it is also hard to know what race relation would be like if private shops weren't forced to serve black people. It could very well be that racial integration would be slower, but maybe not, it's hard to tell now. What we do know is that people definitely like money, and not serving a section of people seems bad for business. So I think it probably didn't make much of a difference in terms of racial integration. So all the CRA probably did was weakened some private property rights, because it could really have just easily repealed the Jim Crow laws.

Back to my point though, the drug war. This is the most racist policy in our country right now. So you are suggesting that you will not vote for a guy, who supports to repeals of the Jim Crow laws, does not support the weakening of the private property portion of the CRA, and wants to end the most racist policy in this nation, because he wouldn't have voted for the CRAs for weakening private property laws? That's very interesting and properly why our country can't move away from racist policies like this.

I would not call it racism. I would call it injustice that applies to all people. Its empire. It oppresses everyone. My concern is to first stop the genocide of my people BECAUSE NO ONE SPEAKS FOR THEM.

ABOUT WHITE GENOCIDE:

"Generally speaking, genocide does not necessarily mean the immediate destruction of a nation, except when accomplished by mass killings of all members of a nation. It is intended rather to signify a coordinated plan of different actions aiming at the destruction of essential foundations of the life of national groups, with the aim of annihilating the groups themselves. The objectives of such a plan would be the disintegration of the political and social institutions, of culture, language, national feelings, religion, and the economic existence of national groups, and the destruction of the personal security, liberty, health, dignity, and even the lives of the individuals belonging to such groups." ~ Raphael Lemkin coined the term "genocide" and was principal architect of the 1948 United Nations Convention on the Prevention and Punishment of the Crime of Genocide.
Genocide involves the attempt to achieve the disappearance of a group by whatever means. It does not have to be violent, it could be a combination of policies that would lead to a certain group dying out.
~ Prime Minister of Australia 1975-1983 - Malcolm Fraser. "One Nation, One Notion", The Age, 8 July 1997, p. A13.
"Assimilation is genocide." ~ Aboriginal leader Mick Dodson.
"Genocide is genocide, whether accomplished by bullets, mustard gas, or mass immigration and social engineering."

WHITE GENOCIDE:

How is this not genocide:
White countries are being flooded by non-whites. We are told to be

TOLERANT. We are forced to integrate. With assimilation we see the

extinction of one race only, the white race.

Its not funny, not comedy, its white genocide.

How is this not white genocide/ Let's stop white genocide.

No one is forced to marry interracially, so the use of the word genocide is not applicable here. Genocide happens only when it is deliberate and systemic. People marry because of love, something that maybe you'll find in your life time.

"Genocide happens only when it is deliberate and systemic"

Demanding massive immigration and forced integration, for all White countries and only White countries, until only White people are blended out of existence, is deliberate and systematic genocide.

The fact we have raised this issue to your awareness and you are searching for loop holes, so you can continue this White GeNOcide program means, you have just made it deliberate and systematic.

Anti-racist is a code word for anti-White.

No one is forcing Japan to bring in Non-Asians and telling everyone to "assimilate".
No one is forcing Nigeria to bring in Non-blacks and telling everyone to "assimilate".
Only citizens of White Countries like the US, Canada, Australia, New Zealand and all the countries in Europe are having uncontrolled immigration forced on them.
This "assimilation" or blending is nothing more than an attempt to wipe out my race, the White race. It IS geNOcide.
Those pushing this call themselves "anti-racist" What they are is anti-white.

I fail to see how you can link immigration to forced assimilation. So you're saying that if a black guy moves to your neighborhood, you're force to marry him? Tolerance doesn't mean marriage, it doesn't mean love the person's soul. Interracial marriage exists because people fell in love despite difference of ethnicity. Believe it or not, this has been happening for thousands and thousands of years. This is how the human race has evolved. Biodiversity has been proven to give species a robustness to survival. Diversity in the human race has allowed certain people to survive diseases and improve immune systems. If we were all the same, then we could be wiped out by a single disease. It's for these reasons that most people do not think the way you do, though there are many that do. But if everyone did, the human race is definitely in danger of dying off in a few hundred years.

Why is Ron Paul the only one talking about the Private bank that is drowning our country? Ron Paul is the only one calling for an end to the Federal Reserve Bank, because he is the only one brave enough to challenge the status quo.

I was there, and it was an Awesome event! The crowd was mixed-race, though predominantly white, but no more so than other events that draw people from ALL OVER the Metro Detroit Area. Trying to portray this in'Black vs. White' terms misses the whole point of Ron Paul's focusing on INDIVIDUAL rights- instead of pseudo 'group rights'. The Media, politicians and those that seek to control people use racial identity classifications to divide us. Ron Paul and his supporters advocate breaking through the false divisions to focus on what unites us instead.

Rev. Holley was eloquent and effusive in his praise for Dr. Paul. THe crowd of several hundred was enthusiastic, and moved enough to give RP FOUR standing Ovations! Dr. Paul elaborated on what has caused the economic and social problems in Detroit, and the nation in general, and proposed tough, workable solutions to lift Detroit and other urban areas out of their current morass. He held up Rev. Holley as a shining example of what it takes to effect real, constructive change- citing The Rev.'s Academy School, his extensive Community Outreach Programs, and his dedication to making a difference in the poorest Zip Code in Michigan. Not the type of empty rhetoric you get from the other campaigns, who won't evn speak to urban, minority and other issues that affect the poor, working-class and middle income Americans!
