Santorum relates food stamps to minorities, again

TROY, Mich. -- Rick Santorum on Saturday resuscitated one of his more controversial remarks from the past few months of campaigning for president, connecting food stamps with "minority communities."

Speaking to a large crowd at the conservative Americans for Prosperity Presidential forum here, Santorum said he planned to "talk to minority communities, not about giving them food stamps and government dependency, but about creating jobs so that they can participate in the rise of this country."

In January, Santorum made a similar remark, but instead of "minorities," he used the phrase "black people." He later said he was misheard.

Santorum also reiterated his belief that one of President Obama's driving motives for encouraging Americans to attend college is to "remake you into his image."

"President Obama once said he wants everybody in America to go to college - what a snob!" he said to laughter and cheers from the audience. "There are good, decent men and women who work hard every day who aren't taught by some liberal college professor."

The line got another round of appreciative laughter at an afternoon tea party event in Hixsen, Tenn., where Santorum told a crowd over 2,000 people that Obama wants professors to "indoctrinate" students. "We need to have to have an education system that is not government-run out of Washington or out of state capitals across this country. It should be run by communities and family," he said.

Santorum said he sees liberal tyranny in other walks of life. "Wouldn't it be nice if we had political leaders, people in Hollywood, people in the news, people in education affirming your message instead of trying to destroy the very fabric of faith and family in this country?" he asked the tea party crowd.

In Troy, Santorum touted his opposition to the auto industry bailout, just one day after rival Mitt Romney was greeted in Detroit by 250 protesters upset that he was speaking at iconic Ford Field after opposing the bailout. "You can criticize me for not supporting the Detroit bailout. I don't support any bailouts," Santorum said.

What a racist idiot! Typical lying fear-hate promoter! He needs to learn the facts on ALL 50 states before he pops off at the mouth in one or two! He knows what states to utter this foolishness! Also, he's a hypocrite! He spouts ignorance and arrogance under his college degree while his children are college students and/or college bound! Perhaps, he believes that he and his family are the only persons worthy and smart enough to earn college degrees! What parent does not dream of their child(ren) attending college or some school of higher education? Even students not wanting to attend 4 year colleges need funding to attend technical schools. For him to think that college is for "snobs" and forces doctrines of anti Christian beliefs upon gullible students, he sure has a lot of explaining to do about he and his children attending college and earning degrees. A vote for this guy is a setback in history! Jim Crow, Voters Rights, Working Women, Birth Control--kiss them goodbye with idiot!

You sir, are the racist idiot! Santorum did not say what you thought he did. You are good at spinning the truth like the Democrats do.

Santorum responded to what Obama said, that all people should go to college. Who is the hell does Obama think he is? Not everyone wants or desires to go to college. Not everyone CAN go to college.

Besides, our colleges are full of Communist/Marxist/Progressive professors today and who wants to pay high tuition fees to go and listen to that crap for 4 years? Tell Me!

Santorum was only saying that Obama should put a sock in it and stop telling people what he things is best for them. What would be best for America is for him to pack up and get his fanny out of the White House and head for Kenya where he belongs..

Then Americans can finally get a little peace from this ass wipe of a president. And I say all this NOT because he is black, but because he IS a real ass wipe! Got it?

There are 46million people on food stamps. If you want to see an increase in crime cut off their food supply and see what happens.
Don't worry, you can pay for the damages out of your tax break.

The
food stamp program, part of the Department of Agriculture, is pleased to be
distributing the greatest amount of food stamps ever.

Meanwhile,
the Park Service, also part of the Department of Agriculture, asks us to
"Please Do Not Feed the Animals" because the animals may grow dependent and not
learn to take care of themselves.

A good old fashion punch in the mouth is the best remedy a man can bestow onto another man who feels compelled to offend and insult repeatedly. Free speech in public is protected in theory, but rights have their limits and debate is not a guaranteed result for any topic under the sun. Some statements people make are no longer worth tolerating or ignoring. Rather than wasting one's time talking about the offenses and being outraged, time would be much better spent addressing these offenses in the harshest and most decisive terms that make it clear when it is time to shut up.

Damn! Very well said, and I agree with your sentiments. Not that violence is the very best answer usually, but sometimes someone just needs the sense literally knocked into them. And this type of ignorant **** should not be spewing forth from the mouth of a PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATE. Sickening.

One of the problems in today's politically correct society is the state of denial it creates. My life experience has showed me that certain subcultures in America promote behaviors that are counter productive. These subcultures are responsible for a greater percentage of crime, school dropouts, illegitimate births and welfare reception--the facts don't lie. If pointing out the reality of these statistics makes one a racist, then I'm one. The country would certainly be a better place for every one if this condition could be eradicated.

LOL The problem with society today is we still have racially ignorant people. It may come as a surprising fact to you, but their are plenty of the white "subculture" in all of your listed categories. Yeah, lets just eradicate all minorities! America is good a that.
webbsight replies:

Speaking of subcultures, the one that continues to embrace a doctrine of cultural superiority and racial hatred threatens all progress in the world. The culture that simply moves on in spite of mass conspiracy and criminal enterprise for years and pretends nothing happened is sad. The inability to never tell the truth and the acceptance of hypocrisy in terms of values, ethics, and religious beliefs is shameful. Also, choosing monetary gain over any other concern so much that the very ground in which we stand is put at risk is the worse offense any culture has done in the history of the world. Explain away social ills and human conditions as a result of poverty and economics and attach it to ethnic culture because that is what you do, but the barbarism of which I speak is so offensive and revealing and I feel sorry for those incapable of ever even seeing it.
