First Lady Michelle Obama's office said Tuesday that Malia and Sasha Obama have received the vaccine for the H1N1 flu, otherwise known as swine flu.

A spokeswoman for Michelle Obama, Katie McCormick Lelyveld, tells the Associated Press that Sasha, age 8, and Malia, age 11, got the shot from a White House doctor last week after it became available to schoolchildren in the Washington area.

President and Michelle Obama are going to wait to get the H1N1 shot until members of higher priority groups have received their shots. The whole family, however, has gotten the seasonal flu shot.

WOW! This article is in direct conflict with an article I saw on an alternate news site!

In that article, it was stated that one of the girls...the younger, I think...had a reaction to certain types of vaccine or a previous bout of flue, whatever...and because of this...it was decided that NEITHER child was going to be vaccinated!

Look, this family is no different than any other in that they must decide whether or not they will get the shot(s)! And, they HAVE the right to say 'NO', too!

But...as Mr. Obama is advocating that the rest of the nation get their shots...it's EXTREMELY HYPOCRITICAL that he, his wife, and kids don't do the same!

I guess Republican leadership aren't the only ones that practice the 'do as I say, not as I do' policy of leadership, huh?!
