Obama Plans Sunday Health Care Blitz

CBS News confirms that President Obama will appear on five Sunday morning political talk shows this weekend in order to make his case for health care reform. CBS News White House correspondent Mark Knoller calls this kind of simultaneous presidential blitz "unprecedented."

The president will be interviewed on CBS's "Face the Nation," as well as on shows airing on ABC, NBC, CNN and Univision. It should be noted that Mr. Obama is not expected to be be on Fox this Sunday morning.

by ealbanoski September 18, 2009 4:50 PM EDT: This is proof how ignorant Obama is, he's appearing on 5 different networks that don't have as much viewership as Fox News does combined. He's shunning Fox because it's the main stream and he only wants to play to an audience that is drinking his Kool Aid. He's trying to get them motivated to protest in favor of his train wreck health plan, but even the libs don't want it.
Question: When does this guy ever work? He's the only President we ever had that spends more time speaking on television and flying to union meetings than he does working in the Oval Office. Just like I said last November, he's unexperienced, naive and a talking head for David Axelrod and George Soros. This guy couldn't run a lemonade stand.
The only way to get him to do any work would be to give him a supervisor! What a putz! Jimmy Carter played the race card to preserve his place in history as the worst president in the history of the USA. Unfortunately, Barack Hussein Obama is leading him by a mile!!!; Reply to this comment


by diamruby September 16, 2009 2:33 PM EDT: If they do not pass a public option with restrictions on insurance companies and make changes there is no reason to pass a bill. The credit card bill they passed has already caused every one I know to have large interest increases along with a large reduction in the credit line & even closing the credit lines. So if the government wants to make good changes for us why do they always hurt us in the long run? Health reform is needed but not doing anything to protect the citizens against insurance companies that drop coverage, do not cover pre-existing, raise our premiums over 1,000 per year for less coverage will only cause us more grief. The small business I work for has a 5000.00 deductible with very high premiums 500.00 per month per person average ,that is great on a large operation but not much help for everyday medical problems, this means I have to pay 11,000 out of my pocket each year before I can see any payment from the insurance company if at all, my previous experience on a large operation was that the insurance company paid very little because in the fine print or no print alot of the doctor bills were not covered. I cannot believe that most Americans make enough money that they do not care how high their premiums get & are happy paying whatever it takes to have insurance.; Reply to this comment

I have been without health care for awhile now, My Employer didnt pay the premiums to the INS CO and they denied me COBRA, yet I was the one who paying for 100% of my insurance. It is has become a profit driven market instead of a HealthCare!; Reply to this comment

Public Option = Consumer Choice
"No one should die because they can not afford health care,
and no one should go broke because they get sick.
The choice should be the consumers. Our health care is in the balance.

Peace to all Human Beings!!! I am writing this message from East Africa, where most people are living below poverty line.

Please, do not forget we are here (in this planet) to just passing through! That means we are not living forever, we are staying here for not longer.

It is true that time passes and brings something better for those who are in need of it. We have seen in our life time that the American people (Glorious People) have chosen better option that leads millions of Americans to enjoy life as few people doing so. It is really a time for all of you to seek for a better and healthy life, where people care and help each others.

Don't you agree with what is being proposed by the President of USA? I wished I would be an American citizen. Let me ask you a few questions; Is it okay for you to say keep quite when others are in need of help? Do you agree when old people are left on the side of the road because they don't have any thing to pay for their health care or go back and request their children to give them a place to stay in the store, after their home taken away? You eat more than three times a day, have you noticed that millions are eating only once in a day? Have you recognized millions are denied to get medical help when they are about to die? Have you noticed few people are getting more and more wealthy and millions are getting noting? Who are we? Why are we here for? Are we created to take anything away from our brothers and sisters or to share what this planet provided us?

I believe people are first, not Money! When we die we will not take our money, house, four or five cars ? instead our deeds will follow us and we will be paid for what we did!

Let's help millions, not self (I)! Please let medical care be for every single individual in your country! Let GOD bless the World and the people who are living in it!!!

I love your comment and agree with you 100%. Too many Americans have become greedy and selfish. It is a shame that Americans are not listening to what the truth is and band together to become one. Our President is one of the best to come along in great time of need and we move forward.
