Curt Schilling for Kennedy's Senate Seat?

Former Boston Red Sox pitcher Curt Schilling, an outspoken Republican who campaigned in New Hampshire for George Bush and John McCain in the past two presidential election cycles, told New England Cable News that he has "been contacted" about a possible run for the Senate seat formerly held by Ted Kennedy.

Asked if he would run, the right-hander said he has "a lot on my plate" at the moment and is thus "not even going to speculate on it."

Schilling told NECN that "the right [Republican] candidate" could beat a Democrat in Massachusetts for the seat "for the first time in a long time."

Schilling has not been quiet about his views on politics and other matters, sometimes calling into Boston talk radio shows to discuss his opinions.

"With the Massachusetts Republicans' extremely thin bench, it should be no surprise that Schilling has been contacted about running," said CBS News political director Steve Chaggaris.

An October 2004 Boston Globe article noted that while Schilling owned a house in Medfield, Mass., he hadn't registered to vote there. Schilling had registered by 2007 when he was being talked about as a potential candidate to run for Senate against John Kerry in 2008.

Massachusetts Gov. Deval Patrick has announced that a special election to fill Kennedy's seat will be held in January.

Shilling is perfect for the Republicans, "IN LARGE MULTI-MILLION DOLLAR CONTRACTS WE TRUST" And by being a coddled athlete he can really speak for average Americans and the struggles we face, NOT

The Fiji-based trust allowed the Kennedy's to avoid "...the possibility of scrutiny by the IRS and federal authorities," according to Schweizer. Worse, the sanctimonious Kennedy clan that demands the rich pay their fair share has "an intricate web of trusts and private foundations" that helps the family avoid the IRS. (This according to Peter Schweizer).

It's not only the Kennedy's who are hypocrites, look at the Chairman of the House of Ways and Means, Charles Rangel, Dem-NY. This guy is being investigated because he is avioding paying taxes and what does he do? He is a sneak and slips into the health-care bill broad new provisions cracking down on taxpayers in proceedings with the IRS...even for honest mistakes.

These Liberal Leaders are being indicted all over the place because they won't pay their taxes and point fingers at the wealthy.

I'm hoping our socialist friend Joe Kennedy runs. He would be a great asset to our state and country! Embrace 21st Century Socialism.

FoxNews is the only news network in boston that tells you like it is. They are for the real people in boston. Luckly in this country if you dont like them then dont watch them, that is until O'bama decides to take over the networks.......
