President Obama and his family will be touring the nation's national parks next weekend, the White House announced today.

The first family will be making stops at four national parks in the western part of the country – Bozeman, Yellowstone, Grand Junction, and Grand Canyon – during a "fee-free" weekend.

The weekend trip is meant to "highlight" the national park system and "encourage all people…to go to and visit the national parks," White House press secretary Robert Gibbs said.

The president has previously visited Yellowstone and the Grand Canyon, the press secretary told reporters.

"He tells a story of coming to visit to his grandparents that I believe includes both stops at Yellowstone and the Grand Canyon, coming from Hawaii," Gibbs said.

The Associated Press reports that some of the stops will include town hall-style meetings, where Mr. Obama will most likely push his health care agenda. In accordance with presidential tradition, Mr. Obama is also expected to speak at the Veterans of Foreign Wars' convention in Phoenix.

He is going on the taxpayers money, the unemployed don't have that priviledge. I live and enjoy the many national parks in my area as well as the outdoors, this administration is shutting down access to a lot of the areas people enjoy the recreation in. Making those areas accessable only to people able to afford horses or young enough to be able to hike into. The elderly and disabled have less areas to enjoy, pretty much like what will happen if this administration gets the healthcare they are wanting to shove down our throats.

Why don't you wait and see the "Healthcare" legislation that passes before you pass judgement on "this administration"? Who knows what it'll be, the future ain't here yet, and who knows, you may like it or you may not - please reserve you opinion for the FINAL version of healthcare reform before condemning it.

I feel it is a great thing that President Obama takes his family to see the same parks that citizens of this nation use for their recreation and entertainment. The citizens of this nation are more connected to President Obama for sharing this value and having commonality with all who appreciate the outdoors.

The unemployed are encouraged to go on a vacation they can't afford? Sounds like another clunker deal.
