Meghan McCain Calls "Joe the Plumber" a "Dumb***"

(CBS)
Additionally, McCain has been rallying against anti-gay marriage Republicans – including the man that became the symbol of her father's presidential campaign.
In an interview with Out Magazine, McCain said, "Joe the Plumber -- you can quote me -- is a dumb*** . He should stick to plumbing," in response to Joe the Plumber's comment that he "wouldn't' t have [gays] anywhere near my children."
McCain also said that, although she isn't generally received well in the conservative movement, she's an example of the reconciliation between being a Republican and being in favor of same-sex marriage.
"There are a lot of people who have said, 'I'm Republican and I'm pro–gay marriage. Thank you for showing that you don't have to be anti–gay marriage to be a Republican.'," McCain said.
McCain's position is significantly different from what she calls "old-school" Republicans, who she says have been receding into their conservatism in fear of the future. On "The Colbert Report" earlier this year, Out Magazine reports, McCain said the GOP stance on keeping government out of the people's private lives is hypocritical when it came to gay marriage.
According to Out Magazine, McCain's shock at the passage of Proposition 8 in California last year prompted her to begin public advocacy for gay rights.
"Homophobia is the last socially accepted prejudice," McCain said, saying she believes the struggle for gay rights to be "my generation's civil rights movement."
Meghan isn't the only McCain to support gay marriage either. "My mom was always for gay marriage," Meghan McCain said of Cindy McCain. "But I think me being so vocal about it has made her want to be more vocal about it."
As for her father, Meghan said that she hopes he will "someday come around" although "he's 73 and of a different generation."

I think what she is saying, if she means it, is wonderful, BUT, I think that it is a trick or ploy by the Repubs.
"Hey look we are not all old fuddy-duddies, we can be young and fun and out spoken too."
I think she is a "tool" for the Repubs and a mouth piece. Get a whole bunch of people to soften to them and to think they are not the greedy, scary, nut jobs we see them as, and then strike like a snake. lol
I DID NOT think that at first, I was totally a fan of Meghan and then she went and started siding with Palin on the whole Letterman thing,
COME ON! Meghan, you claim to be an intelligent woman, how could you not know that that was a joke about the tramp daughter who already got knocked up!?
And how, as a intelligent woman can you defend or side with the likes of Sarah Palin!!??

Homosexuality is not a choice. Just like you don't choose the color of your skin, you cannot choose whom you are sexually attracted to. If you can, sorry, but you are not heterosexual, you are bi-sexual. Virtually all major psychological and medical experts agree that sexual orientation is NOT a choice. Most gay people will tell you its not a choice. Common sense will tell you its not a choice. While science is relatively new to studying homosexuality, studies tend to indicate that its biological.

There is overwhelming scientific evidence that homosexuality is not a choice. Sexual orientation is generally a biological trait that is determined pre-natally, although there is no one certain thing that explains all of the cases. "Nurture" may have some effect, but for the most part it is biological.
Also, God never said homosexuality is a sin. Don't twist his words to condone your bigotry. I suggest you read the following links to see what God really says about homosexuality. It's NOT a sin, and God loves gays as much as he loves straights, and he made both.

Read and educate yourself.
What planet is this woman on? Gays are striving to achieve EQUAL treatment under the law. They've been "treated differently" in the past, and it's what they're trying to change.
I am a religious person, and it pains me to see phony "Christians" try to use the Bible as a justification for what is obviously just their personal prejudice and bigotry. Any true Christian knows that Jesus taught us to love others and to "Judge not that ye be not judged" (Matthew 7:1-5). He didn't say a word about same-sex marriage, though cattiej chooses to falsely say otherwise. It might be wiser to obey the real commandments the Lord has given us than to create bogus new manmade ones and pretend they are what "God and Jesus say."
