There has been NO cases of swine flu in Cuba

In Cuba, there has not been one single case of swine flu to date, nor have any patients displaying symptoms of the illness been admitted into Cuban hospitals, confirmed by their deputy minister of Hygiene, Epidemiology and Microbiology at the Ministry of Public Health (MINSAP), during a press conference last night.

However, as a response to the situation prevailing in Mexico, the United States, Canada and other countries that have reported an increasing number of cases of swine flu in humans, Cuba announced yesterday, Monday, in an official note will be updating its clinical-epidemiological vigilance capacity and attention to the public within the national healthcare service.

Likewise, in conjunction with the National Civil Defense system and other organizations, measures are being implemented in line with the evolution of the situation.

This would be a clear example of Government acting in the capacity of benefit to their citizens.
