Bernanke To Attend Obama Economic Briefing Today
4828632An administration official says Federal Reserve Board Chairman Ben Bernanke will attend President Obama's Daily Economic Briefing today.
The move is unusual because the Fed is an independent agency and is not supposed to be subjected to administration pressure or even criticism.
The official says "this is part of ongoing direct communication between the president and the Fed Chairman as the economic team discusses how to solve the problems of the day."
