Seeking to brand the GOP as the party of "no," two liberal interest groups are shining a spotlight on a familiar figure in partisan warfare – Rush Limbaugh.

The Americans United for Change and AFSCME released a new television commercial today that claims that House and Senate Republicans are getting their marching orders from the conservative talk show host. The advertisement will play on national cable and in Washington, D.C., Politico reports.

The commercial begins with a shot of a foreclosure sign juxtaposed with a still of President Obama signing a bill (presumably the stimulus act).

"An economy in crisis, a president determined to act," the narrator intones. "But what did Republican leaders say to President Obama's jobs and recovery plan?"

The ad soon cuts to a series of Republican congressional leaders saying "no," before the narrator asks rhetorically, "So who are Republican leaders listening to?"

Footage of Limbaugh flashes across the screen.

"I want him to fail," he says.

The commercial closes with the narrator urging viewers, "Tell them America won't take no for an answer anymore."

Limbaugh has long been a source of liberal animus, but there has been something of a resurgence in disdain for the talk show host in progressive circles lately. This is not the first time he has appeared in television advertisements that accuse the GOP of standing in the way of economic recovery: The same two groups released radio commercials during the debate over the stimulus bill that urged Republican senators not to listen to Limbaugh and oppose the legislation.

Mr. Obama also used the specter of Limbaugh last month to try to make a pitch for bipartisanship.

"You can't just listen to Rush Limbaugh and get things done," Mr. Obama said. "There are big things that unify Republicans and Democrats. We shouldn't let partisan politics derail what are very important things that need to get done."

My Gawd. Can't Rush see what a gross, overweight, angry fool he is? He's just a cartoon character to the majority of Americans.

IF he was slim and healthy, I might pay attention to him. He just looks like one big steaming pile of EXCESS to me. Too much food. Too many cigars. Too many prescription meds. YUCK, Rush. You are a such a pig!! Button your shirt and put on a tie next time so we don't have to see your flabby neck. THANK YOU!

Ok, (my friendthzz) Rush Hudson Limbaugh I observed since the late nineteen hundred and eightys (folks). Limbaugh earned his fame under the Ronald Reagan Administration and has preached of further Conthurvative Thucthessthes if, the Republican Party was able to promote their agenda unimpeded by Liberal seat holdings in the Whitehouse, Senate, House of Rep. and the Supreme Court (my friendthzz).

Well, little Hudson Limbaugh was indulged by the Newt Gingrich (contract on America) Congress and, the George W. Bush Presidential Administration (for twice terms). With Bushs two additional Supreme Court Appointments Limbaughs Conservative wet dream was complete.

Today, we are all living in the after math hangover from the reckless feast and frat party thrown by the Conservative-Republicans. Rush Limbaugh appeared on CNN (Saturday) at the Conservative Political Action Conference (C-crap). Limbaugh seemed to be in poor health and gives the impression to be stressed.
Rush Limbaugh stated in his long and unfunny address that the GOP needs to not abandon the Reagan Years (Rushs years of thuckthessess my friendthzz). Limbaugh seems to be not wiling to let-go of the Reagan Administration and is leading the in-fight (emplosion folks) within the fragmented GOP.

RL is right 98%. He is not a Marxist. That is his greatest sin. The Republicans don't listen to him. If they did they would not be in the doghouse right now. Europe has tried that Comm organisers Big govt. socialism 30yrs. ago and it did not work. They are all on a privatising spree. That marxist in the White House will destroy the US. Remove incentive via high taxes and the Entrepreneurs will stop producing.
