Poll: Favorable Rating For Michelle Obama

4813706Americans with an opinion hold overwhelmingly positive views of First Lady Michelle Obama, a CBS News/New York Times poll out today finds, with 49 percent viewing her favorably and just 5 percent viewing her unfavorably.

An additional 44 percent are undecided or don't know enough about the first lady to hold an opinion.

Michelle Obama's rating is more positive than those of her predecessors at this early stage in her time in the White House.

Laura Bush's favorable rating at the beginning of her husband's presidency was 30 percent, while Hillary Clinton's favorable rating was 44 percent, Barbara Bush's was 34 percent and Nancy Reagan's was 28 percent.

Mrs. Clinton and Mrs. Reagan also had double digit disapproval ratings at this point, with 16 percent disapproving of Mrs. Clinton and 10 percent disapproving of Mrs. Reagan. Disapproval ratings for Laura and Barbara Bush were just 3 percent.

This poll was conducted among a random sample of 1,112 adults nationwide, interviewed by telephone February 18-22 2009. Phone numbers were dialed from RDD samples of both standard land-lines and cell phones. The error due to sampling for results based on the entire sample could be plus or minus three percentage points. The error for subgroups is higher. This poll release conforms to the Standards of Disclosure of the National Council on Public Polls.

It is very easy to imagine that nice wholesome Obama Family residing in the white house 32 years strait.

I agree the poll. And Michelle is a very likeable person. And the thing that I love about her. Is that she is her Own Woman. And not stuffy and unapproachable. She has broken the mold.

Michelle Obama seems like a different person now than she was during the campaign.

I don't think I really appreciated how hard it must be on candidates' wives and children to hear people bashing away at their husband and dad until I heard that letter the Bush girls wrote to the Obama girls talking about how it would be important for them to remember that they know who their real dad was and it wasn't the person that everybody writes about. That kind of broke my heart :(

Anyway, Michelle seems happy to have the campaign behind her, and she seems to be enjoying having that role of sort of like good-will Ambassador for the Admin. It seems to suit her well too, and she doesn't seem to mind the workload and the lack of pay, so I'm happy to say she's doing a great job!

As a guy, I know there are a lot of good looking AA-women in the world. Examples include:
Beyonce
Halle Berry
Diana Ross(when she was young)
Vanessa Williams(when younger)
and many, many more.

Sadly, Michelle is not among them.

I know many of you want to believe she is pretty, or classy, or gorgeous.
But, at best, she is average looking. And sometimes she sinks much lower during unflattering poses or fashion mistakes, which are common.

Michelle has 2 major strikes against her: her face, and her figure.
Her face is flat. The lower jaw juts out strangely. The overall shape is like a blocky square, as in a horse's jaw.
The body is simply sad. Almost scary. Her chest is around a 32B and is badly in need of uplift and cleavage. The hips are way oversized and out of proportion. She has a massive size-16 type of appearance. I would be stunned if she was less than 200 lbs.

I can only surmise that many of you are being influenced by your love of her husband, Barack, when you extol your praise for Michelle%u2019s looks.
Because, you know if you%u2019re honest with yourselves, and Michelle was just an ordinary citizen, rather than the first lady, most of you would not think she was particularly attractive at all.

And for those of you who want to squawk that she%u2019s %u201Cclassy%u201D or intelligent: I%u2019m discussing only looks here. Not what%u2019s on the inside. You can save that opinion for your women friends.
