Katie C. and the other commentator in D.C. were commenting on the amount of cost spent in this inaguration. Please remember that Pres. Obama has had the most threats on his life among any other past presidents already. Much of the money was staff protection for himself and family. This is also a historical event.

On this historic occasion, the crowd attending President Obama''s inauguration was renewed and inspired by his call to service. Too bad their collective enthusiasm didn''t last long enough for so many people to pick up their own trash. If you left your garbage on the lawn, shame on you. The mall is a mess. If you took everything you brought with you, cheers! You get it.

Thank you rigonzalez21 for your posting! I could not agree with you more. The over-speak during the benediction by Reverend Dr. Joseph E. Lowery was disrespectful. Thankfully there will be a replay of this event and I will watch on a channel other than CBS.

While I understand the significance of Barack Obama being the first African American president - to all Americans, I am disappointed that the media has made the inauguration an event for black americans, through visuals, interviews, etc.. Barack Obama has not focused his presidency on black americans, but all americans. I would hope the media would do the same. Please reprsent all people, all races, all creeds, in this celebration.

i cannot possibly describe the anger i am feeling in regards to the commentators during the actual ceremony. it is no way proper or ethical to, at any time, speak over any presentor. all comments can wait and be addressed at the correct time. i changed from your coverage which i have been attentive to since the early hours of the morning. i am just disgusted by the lack of audio engineering knowledge to simply shut the microphone off!!! we all wanted to hear the ceremony, not the voices of the people covering it...very, very disappointing!!!!
