Bush's Final Hours As President
By CBS News White House correspondent Mark Knoller
In their final hours in the White House, President and Mrs. Bush will have a family dinner tonight with their daughters and with former President Bush and First Lady Barbara Bush.
We're told the president has already written his private letter to Barack Obama - and will leave it in the drawer of the president's desk in the Oval Office for the new president.

G. Bush, for his 8 years of service to his county. I don''t deny the excitement of a new beginning, but I would have rather a more informative coverage of not only what the incoming President Elect is doing at this second in time and what he''ll be doing in the next second in time, but equal coverage to our President of the last 8 years as he packs up the White House and tries to turn off the worlds needs like it as easy as hitting a switch. As one proud
American I would like to thank President G.W. Bush for his dedication to our county, I would invite the rest of the county to do the same. I''d call the
White House this evening if I had any hope of reaching President Bush in person.
My sincere gratitude for your dedication and personal sacrifice. I''m happy for you and your family and glad to see you far from Washington,
DC so you can begin to live your life again.
