George W. Bush is today making his final visit to Camp David as president.

He will likely miss the place: According to CBS News White House Correspondent Mark Knoller, today's trip marks Mr. Bush's 149th visit to the presidential retreat. The planned three-day stay, during which the president is being joined by family and former and current aides, will bring his total time spent at Camp David to all or part of 487 days.

Yes, that's 487 days. And Camp David is not even where the president has spent the most time when not at the White House: Knoller reports that Mr. Bush has made 77 visits to his ranch in Crawford during his presidency, and spent all or part of 490 days there.

Bush had the world at his side on the day of 9/11 he squandered his attention and eyed selfish gain...He chose not to pursue honest ambition but to control Oil in the Middle East when he decided to invade Iraq...There were many of us that were very angry he lied and people died for his attempts to secure Oil!There were no WMDs. But all his buddies made bank on the Private Contracts written by the Bush Administration...THAT is your deposit...

Our President has 8 years of neglect and diversion of tax dollars away from the public sector into the pockets of Big Private Contracts to remedy...I trust his integrity...I think maybe you should reflect on who lead us into the deepest recession of our lives...

I wouldn't boast so proudly of someone who was elected the first time by a court decision and the second time by widely distrusted voting machines. I wouldn't brag about someone who condescendingly expected that every fellow American received the same mandate from god appointing him as president. I certainly wouldn't be too proud of someone who would give the ultimatum "you're either with us or with the terrorists" both to members of Congress to encourage the votes of support and to foreign allies to induce participation in the so-called pre-emptive war with Iraq.f And I most assuredly would not boast about someone whose familial wealth was built on savings and loan bailout money, Medicare billing fraud and Nazi money laundering. Considering the vast amount of damage achieved in eight years, with 1,000-plus days away from the Oval Office, he was as uber-efficient as grandpa Prescott's German business partners.

Some of you folks here are just plain carzy. Does anyone here actually think that when the President, be it Bush or D'oh-bama, takes a vacation that it's really a vacation? I don't know about you guys but I'm just a low level office peon and when I go on vacation I'm still stuck to my crackberry keeping an eye on things. Let's try getting past the partisan hackery and focus on what horrors our elected officials are placing on our shoulders. Bush may have taken more "vacation time" but D'oh-bama & Co are certainly out spending him. I would rather have a Pres who takes more vaca then takes more out of the pot without any plans on how to replenish it.

There are so many flaws in you comment...President Obama is a wise and compassionate man...he has my fullest support...

Actually, President Obama's budget counts all the expenses that George W. Bush kept "off budget". So Obama's spending is not much different than Bush's. That and the fact that the 2009 budget was Bush's budget. 2010 was Obama's first budget. So a good portion of the spending that you ignorantly blame on Obama was actually from a Bush budget. Bush also helped us into the worst recession in our lifetime and Obama is helping get us out.

I am torn between being upset this ?Grinning Monkey? was so egotistical he spent one third of his time in office on ?vacation? and frequently refused to work at night or on weekends and being thankful that during this time when he was ?vacationing? he wasn?t doing any more damage to the country. Thankfully, we now have a President who cares for the citizens of the United States of America!

Hey DannyGlas, Obama has taken ONE vacation! W spent nearly 5 months of his first year in Crawford on vacation! NO President will EVER come close to the 1,000 days W spent away from the White House on vacation, PERIOD!

But to your point, Obama has traveled to meet more World Leaders in his first year than any previous President!

Go back to listening to Rush and his fact fabrication!

200+ days in office and between Camp David on the weekends that he's not on vacation somewhere and he's at a pace to make Bush look like he never took a vacation. $3.5 trillion in additional spending and no way to pay it back without raising taxes on those he promised no to tax... How's your hope and change going. I'm hoping we can change Presidents in 2012.

Hope and change has been completely inhibited by the republicans. several times, Obama offered a way to cut out a loophole that would keep busineses from being able to centralize over sees to keep from having to pay taxes. the tax money gotten from busineses that aren't being payed and should be being pay would pay for it by itself. but republican voted against it because they want the taxes to go up so they can blame another thing on the dems to mislead people like you into voting for exactly what screwed over our country to begin with.

I just love our Obama Family. I just finished reading Dreams from my Father and the Audacity of Hope, 2 books written by Barack Obama. We have one of the most intelligent Presidents of all times. He is a caring Writer a great Thinker and a politician. All credit goes to his Mom: a white woman who very successfully reared a Black child.

Our President is a father as well as a husband. He appears to get his strenght from his Faith and his Family. When he is out of office thoes 2 parts of his life must still be intact: Camp David will help keep that part of his life together. Next time he goes to Camp David don't tell the public. Camp David can be his place of peace to get away from those piranha in Washington: both Dems and Republicans. We don't need to know his every move--give he and his Family a little space. Yeah, yeah, I know he got himself in this mess, but he still needs space to Think and figure out his next move.

This man has got a TERRIBLE MESS to clean up BUT, the mess is kinda good for him. How else can he STRUT HIS STUFF??? He and his SOLID partners in Washington shall do this for us. THIS WILL HAPPEN. COME ON GET ON BOARD fellow Bloggers, its going to be a Wild Rde, but we will get there!! BUCKLE DOWN, HELP YOUR NEIGHBORS AND LET US "DO THIS!!! WE ARE A M E R I C A N S!!!!

LOL.....yes, but his faith in what? Talk is cheap. The proof is in the fruit of your life and his fruit stinks.......

I so agree with jummpstart

The Bush family are not concerned with Humanity or environmental issues...
The stance of the right wing is to protect the wealthy...PERIOD!
As these corporations grew and profits increased, corporate leaders pockets grew full. At the same time, poverty increased for the majority of the population...Leaving extremely high numbers of people living in poverty...mom25 Why would you support the Greedy when the greedy can not sustain themselves?

rjixoye again misleads:
"I pray that Obama becomes a Godly man and follows Jesus."

As you know, you liar, he already is. You were happy to label him a Christian when you could associate him to a problem CHRISTIAN pastor.

rjixoye claims: "He is an honorable man and loves God."

Honorable men do not lie in the State of the Union address as Bush did with the WMD''s and the Nigerian ''Yellow Cake''. And tell me, what fellowship (church) does Mr. Bush attend?

Why continue to spread your lying propaganda?
