Obama "Concerned" By Gaza Casualties
President-elect Obama has largely stayed mum on the violence in Gaza, noting that there is only one president at a time. Before a meeting with his economic team today, however, Mr. Obama expressed concern for the continued civilian casualties in the war torn region.
"The loss of civilian life in Gaza and in Israel is a source of deep concern to me, and after January 20th I'm going to have plenty to say about the issue," he told reporters.
"I am not backing away at all from what I said during the campaign, that starting at the beginning of our administration, we are going to engage effectively and consistently in trying to resolve the conflicts that exist in the middle east," Mr. Obama asserted, noting the importance of U.S. national security in the issue. "I think its not only right for the people in that region, but most importantly its right for the national security of the American people and the stability that is so important to this country."
"On January 20th," he promised, "you will be hearing directly from me, and I can promise you until then my job is to monitor the situation and put together the best possible national security team so that we can begin running once we are responsible for national security."
At the open, the President-elect reiterated his recent mantra: "As I said before when it comes to foreign policy, I think the need to adhere to one president at a time is particularly, in domestic policy, Democrats and Republicans we can have arguments back and forth about what tax policies are going to, uh when it comes to international affairs, other countries are looking to see who speaks for America, right now President George Bush as President of the United States speaks on behalf of the U.S. government and the American people when it comes to international affairs."

Would you take time out from sipping your wine and downing your brie to get upset if your next door neighbor kept chunking rocks through your windows day in and day out??

You know only what CBS and the rest of the US media has told you. What you don''t know is that the populations of Gaza and the West Bank have been treated like rats in a cage by their much more powerful neighbor, Israel. Their rights are usurped. They have lived under a siege imposed by Israel to keep them poor and scared.
Those rockets were made by hand by a people who have had their hope taken away by Israel. Israel''s weapons come neatly packaged in crates with American flags on them.
I regret voting for him. He will be a one term president for sure.
Ron Paul in 2012 or before if necessary!
Anyway, no president can eliminate this type of conflict. There is no peace to broker in territorial feuds. And religion nearly always foments "righteous" violence. Sigh.

I read drizzle such as this and I gotta wonder....
Would you take time out from sipping your wine and downing your brie to get upset if your next door neighbor kept chunking rocks through your windows day in and day out??
Obamas problem is that the same huge crowds that showed up to see him speak are expecting him to show some sympathy for their position. It really puts him in a bind.....
But, he is not going to stop his flames, his racial insults("kikes" over and over), and his crude language simply because you ask him.
In fact, each time you ask him to tone it down, he will get worse.
Why? Because, he''s a troll. And that is what trolls do. Go see Wiki if you have forgotten what a troll is. Their definition: "An Internet troll, or simply troll in Internet slang, is someone who posts controversial, inflammatory, irrelevant or off-topic messages in an online community, such as an online discussion forum or chat room, with the intention of provoking other users into an emotional response or to generally disrupt normal on-topic discussion."
If you TRULY want him to go away, IGNORE him. Pretend he is invisible. He WANTS you to engage and debate him and insult him and correct him. Don''t give him(or his like) the satisfaction. And one more thing: he almost certainly is using multiple logons. So, if you see a person agreeing with him or defending him, keep in mind: that person is likely also Floyd.
Thanks!
