A labor source confirms for CBS News that Rep. Hilda Solis, D-Calif., will be named labor secretary.

Solis, 51, was just elected to her fifth term representing California's 32nd district in Southern California.

She would be the third Hispanic in Mr. Obama's Cabinet. The other two are N.M. Gov. Bill Richardson as Commerce secretary and Colo. Sen. Ken Salazar as Interior secretary.

Solis, 51, was also an early and vocal supporter of Sen. Hillary Clinton's presidential bid.

Obama is the center piece of CHANGE we are seeing in progress, we see the re-regulations in progress (SEC appointment of Mary Schapiro). We must ignore knuckle heads like GoGWGo. Obama''s appointment of Solis and Hillary is indicative of his courage to go beyond regular norms to overlook bounds of jealousy. Please be prepared that not all appointments may be confirmed (such as due to Clinton Foundation problems or Richardson''s fund raising issues). But, the man is working very hard to bring the most qualified people for the jobs, and then leave it to Senate.
