Romney wants everyone in America to be rich
Fox News
"I don't try and define who is rich and who is not rich," Romney said when asked what level of income he considers rich at Thursday's Republican debate in Orlando, Fla.
"I want everybody in America to be rich," the former governor of Massachusetts told debate moderator Bret Baier of Fox News, "I want people in this country to have opportunity. I want everybody to have the kind of opportunities that we on this stage have had."
Asked what the tax rate should be for average Americans, Michele Bachmann said Americans should not have to pay income taxes.
"That's your money. That's not the government's money," Bachmann said in response to what Fox News anchor Megyn Kelly said was the most popular question in last week's Republican debate: "out of every dollar I earn, how much do you think that I deserve to keep?"
"I think you earned every dollar, you should get to keep every dollar that you earn," Bachmann said.
The former tax attorney then hedged and said the government would need to collect some revenues but she did not specify a desired rate.
"Obviously we have to give money back to the government so that we can run the government but we have to have a completely different mindset and that mindset is the American people are the genius of this economy, it certainly isn't government that is the genius," Bachmann said.

It is interesting to me, that no one, not Romney, nor the media, have ever said what business/s Romney is actually in. I find that rather curious......you know? I see Romney, as a Democrat wearing a GOP label, myself.

ya right right Mitch whatever you say!
As producers notice that demand is high, they'll ramp up prices until the supply can keep up with demand and production can keep up.
As prices go up, items will become less affordable and folks won't buy as much.
Some people will either ratchet back spending and retain their remaining wealth or spend themselves back into a middle class status, into poverty, or into debt.
So... we're back with the status quo, but prices are higher.
Did Mitt Romney basically just endorsed hyperinflation? Everybody rich at the same time would have that result. Someone please tell me how I'm wrong and Romney isn't just waving magic wands and spinning fantasies. I don't think he believes any of it. He's just pandering to idiots that think it's POSSIBLE for everyone to be rich. These same people buy lottery tickets.
If everyone is "rich", we essentially have all the same wealth despite our abilities, work ethics, and luck. If a Democrat said this he'd be called a "Socialist". (and with some justification.)
President Obama is all about his administration having more money, not Americans being more prosperous or having jobs. All he can talk about is how we must send more of our money to Washington. Enough of that crap! Greedy insatiable Washington is the most inefficient and biggest waster of money of any entity on earth.
Not one more dime should go to Washington in higher taxes or fees until it goes on a diet and becomes efficient and practical in how it spends the public's money. We can not afford the size and scope of this horribly corrupt and bloated government. It must be reduced to a manageable size and scope - to a level that the American citizens and businesses can afford.
