Romney boasts of Cadillac collection at Ford dealership
Republican presidential candidate, former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney, left, arrives for a business roundtable at a local car dealership, with Jim Click, Jr., President of Jim Click Automotive Team, Wednesday, Sept. 14, 2011, in Tucson, Ariz.
/ Ross D. FranklinPresidential hopeful Mitt Romney highlighted his Michigan roots Wednesday at an Arizona Ford dealership, telling the owner about his collection of Cadillacs.
The Romney campaign set up the event at a Tucson showroom to highlight the former Massachusetts governor's business experience. But Romney wanted to talk cars.
"See I'm a Detroit guy, so, you know, I only have domestics. I have a couple of Cadillacs, at two different houses. You know, small crossovers," Romney told owner Jim Click as he toured the showroom ahead of the event.
Perhaps realizing his surroundings, Romney quickly added that he also has a Ford Mustang. Romney's father George was governor of Michigan in the 1960s.
According to financial disclosures released last month, the former Bain Capital executive is estimated to be worth somewhere between $190-$250 million. In addition to a Boston townhouse, Romney owns a beach house in California and a lake house in New Hampshire.
Wealthy presidential candidates often struggle to identify with average voters. In 2008, Republican nominee John McCain was tripped up after being unable to say how many homes he owned. In 2004, Republicans ran ads showing Democrat John Kerry windsurfing near his summer house in Nantucket.

Why is it Democrats are always raising taxes, but always avoid paying them?

"Sen. John Kerry, who has repeatedly voted to raise taxes while in Congress, dodged a whopping six-figure state tax bill on his new multimillion-dollar yacht by mooring her in Newport, R.I."

All this tax the rich chant from rich liberals is kind of funny since rich liberals spend millions every year on accountants to find ways to pay fewer taxes. If a rich liberal truly believes he doesn't pay enough taxes just fire your accountant and pay the 35% you currently could be paying
The Koolaid drinking lap dogs of the GOP & Tea begs.. needs to stop quoting "chicken Little" "the skys falling run!"and get off your cushy lazy buts and do something more constructive with your lives!
Yeah America is hurting (for what gas for Rommneys Caddys) that's a bunch of cow dung!
Don't you love how,
""See I'm a Detroit guy, so, you know, I only have domestics. I have a couple of Cadillacs, at two different houses. You know, small crossovers," Romney told owner Jim Click as he toured the showroom ahead of the event."
Becomes "Romney boasts of Cadillac collection at Ford dealership"
Here let me help you.
1. Two Cadillacs is not a collection.
2. Saying that he owns two cross overs is not exactly boasting.
This news service put so much spin on that headline that it just isn't funny. It so clearly biased that any thinking person should be deeply upset with the new source. They are manipulating your to pick how they think you should.
Now if Romney had said "I have one of the finest collections of classic Cadillacs in the US" then the headline would be valid but then I don't don't see why people would hate on him just for having a car collection. Lots of people do including Jay Leno and a good number of other well to do people and even some not so well to do people.

Or ask for some Grapefruit juice at the Fla Welcome center (they give a glass of OJ to visitors)
or asking a Morman how many wives he has back in the house all proving how out of touch with today and values of common knowledge on a subject.
Ummm... They should have both, we grow a lot of both Grapefruit and Oranges here in FL. In fact many people believe Indian River Grapefruit is the best in the world. Yes my father was involved in the selling and shipping of huge quantities of Grapefruit all over the world but mainly to Japan.
If you take a look at the symbol on the this Florida Citrus website you will see that the tree has both orange and yellow fruit on it to represent orange and grapefruit growers.

How every your other two examples where both right on the money. So don't worry no one is perfect.
The real problem with congress is that they reflect the top 1% of wealthiest americans. In other words they own congress too.
