Is Palin preparing for a 2012 run?

Earlier this week, Real Clear Politics' Scott Conroy broke news that Former GOP Vice Presidential Nominee Sarah Palin is heading back to Iowa in September, sparking speculation that she is planning a 2012 presidential run. CBS News senior political producer Rob Hendin sat down with Conroy to discuss the chances of a 2012 Palin presidential campaign.

"A campaign is at least still possible, if not likely," said Conroy.

Though Palin has been off the radar recently, Conroy warns not to discount her yet.

"I'm told that she's basically been immersing herself in policy and studying up," he said of her absence.

As for husband Todd Palin, Conroy notes that he "seemed very gung-ho" about the idea of a 2012 presidential run.

Watch the video on the left to see more of what Conroy had to say about a 2012 Palin presidential campaign.

Americans, excluding the minotity group of liberals, who think millions unemployed, people losing their homes, record number of people on food stamps, high gas and energy prices, etc.,means Obama is doing a wonderful job,are fed up with these failed liberal policies.Sarah Palin is the complete opposite of Obama, and that is what average Americans everywhere want, and need.Sarah will be a "put the people first" President.Thats something Obama never has,and never will do.He puts liberalism over the interests of the Country, and over the people. Sarah will defeat him in a landslide. All I can say to you liberal/Democrats is remember what happened in the 2010 elections, with Sarahs Tea Party influence. Obama, and liberalism,s days are numbered!

All Sarah and the Tea Party are good for is creating chaos and discord. Sarah would be a "put Sarah first President" ... all she cares about is her hatred for President Obama and trying to discredit him......she needs to get over being a loser in 2008 and maybe come up with another reality show to feed her narcissism and greed.

BILLIONS FOR JIHAD!

Obama's 2009 Supplemental Appropriations for Iraq, Afghanistan, Pakistan, and Pandemic Flu was revised and "passed by the full committee."
It gives billions http://creepingsharia.wordpress.com/2009/05/13/obamas-supplemental-bill-passes-gives-billions-to-enemies/
of U.S. taxpayer dollars to countries and entities that support Sharia law and/or harbor, hide and support those who want to destroy the U.S. and our allies.
Read the summary from David Obey's office that was quietly released last week with nary a word from any media.

" $3.6 billion, matching the request, to expand and improve capabilities of the Afghan security forces

" $400 million, as requested, to build the counterinsurgency capabilities of the Pakistani security forces

" Afghanistan: $1.52 billion, $86 million above the request

" West Bank and Gaza: $665 million in bilateral economic, humanitarian, and security assistance for the West Bank and Gaza

" Jordan: $250 million, $250 million above the request, including $100 million for economic and $150 million for security assistance

" Egypt: $360 million, $310 million above the request, including $50 million for economic assistance, $50 million for border security, and $260 million for security assistance

" Pakistan: $1.9 billion, $591 million above the request

" Iraq: $968 million, $336 million above the request

" Oversight: $20 million, $13 million above the request, to expand oversight capacity of the State Department, USAID, and the Special Inspector General for Afghanistan to review programs in Afghanistan, Pakistan and Iraq
" Lebanon: $74 million

" International Food Assistance: $500 million, $200 million above the request, for PL 480 international food assistance to alleviate suffering during the global economic crisis

" Refugee Assistance: $343 million, $50 million above the request, &including humanitarian assistance for Gaza. Funding for the UN Relief and Works Agency programs in the West Bank and Gaza is limited to $119 million (Note: Gaza = Hamas)

" Disaster Assistance: $200 million to avert famines and provide life-saving assistance during natural disasters and for internally displaced people around the world, including Somalia, Zimbabwe, Ethiopia, the Middle East and South Asia

"Peacekeeping: $837 million for United Nations
peacekeeping operations, including an expanded mission in the Democratic Republic of the Congo and a new mission in Chad and the Central African Republic

" Department of Justice: $17 million, matching the request, for counter-terrorism activities and to provide training and assistance for the Iraqi criminal justice system
The mainstream media remains silent on this but the International News has now picked up the story http://www.thenews.com.pk/top_story_detail.asp?Id=22164
- and then there is Obama's $108 billion IMF bailout scheme http://michellemalkin.com/2009/05/13/obamas-100-billion-imf-bailout-scheme/
in addition to the Supplemental.
And THIS is what Obama is doing to American taxpayers:

ACCORDING TO THE ASSOCIATED PRESS, THE OBAMA ADMINISTRATION WILL GIVE AWAY NEARLY $6 MILLION OF AMERICAN TAX DOLLARS TO RESTORE 63 HISTORIC AND CULTURAL SITES, INCLUDING ISLAMIC MOSQUES AND MINARETS, IN 55 NATIONS. See the State Department document here.

What a delusional rant. If you will go to factcheck.org instead of radical right wing extremist websites, you can get the truth on these issues.

This is correct. The liberal,Obama loving media, will not tell the American people the truth, about this failure President. He has proven himself to be pro- Muslim, and threw Isreal under the bus.Something Sarah Palin would never do.

Many under estimated her when she was mayor and when she was governor and they lived to regret it.
-----------------
Oooohhhhh, she won the Wasilla election with 503 votes (Not even enough to get elected student council president in most high schools) and Alaska governor's election with 114,000 (not enough to get elected mayor in mid-size cities.) And I'm sure many did live to regret it - they regretted voting for someone who quit to pursue more monetarily lucrative ventures.

Al Frankin stole his by 312 votes....not enough to get elected student council and your point is?

No matter what you say to denigrate Sarah Palin's successes there will always be this nagging reality that she was in fact elected many times to many offices at all level of State government.

She is pretty impressive in what she has done, despite her looks.

Sorry A-C.

Al Franken won with 312 MORE votes (which is not stealing, it is the way we do counting in the real world!).

Palin won with a total of 503 votes in Wasilla.

Spin anything and all you get is...dizzy.

I think the two of you will wish she hadn't if she decides to run because you are among the many who are greatly under estimating her. I think if she gets in the race she'll be in it to win and won't be at all the way you are judging her. She is much more intelligent than you are giving her credit for. Many under estimated her when she was mayor and when she was governor and they lived to regret it.

You liberal idiots can make all the stupid remarks and idiotic "jokes" you want to about Palin but I think you're under estimating her and selling her short. You always have. I don't think you know her at all. I don't know her personally, in fact I've never met her, but I think I know her better than any of you and I think if she decides to get in the race she'll be a much better candidate than any of you are giving her credit for.

Wait a minute....are her hands big enough to hold all those written "notes" of the correct answers.......like her favorite Supreme Court decisions....or a list of books and newspapers she can say she reads. What a whackadoodle.

@ajvw....thanks for emphasizing my point exactly. Every president has used a teleprompter since its invention...it's much more effective and efficient than writing on your hands.

Palin and her Palinistas, when they can't find anything else to criticize, love to point out that President Obama uses a teleprompter...just like ALL his predecessors since its invention....and just like ALL future presidents will. Why is he held to a different standard? No need to answer that question...I think we know why.

After another year of Obama,he will be more hated than Casey Anthony. She was found "not guilty". On the destruction of this Great Country,Obama will be found guilty, by the American People Jury, and his head will be on the political "chopping block", in the 2012 elections, unless,of course,if he isn,t inpeached before then!
