Texas Gov. Rick Perry: "America needs" me

Signs are pointing to another candidate entering the 2012 presidential contest.

Texas Governor Rick Perry was on the phone with the Des Moines Register last week, and the newspaper reports he is starting to feel "called" to run for president.

"I'm not ready to tell you that I'm ready to announce that I'm in," Perry said, "but I'm getting more and more comfortable every day that this is what I've been called to do. This is what America needs."

Perry said he would decide by next month whether he intends to jump in the race.

The Texas governor is both a social and fiscal conservative and could do well in the Iowa caucuses in February, though it is already too late for Perry to participate in the less important straw poll in Ames, Iowa on Aug. 13.

A Perry candidacy would have the most impact on Rep. Michele Bachmann, another social conservative who has support from the conservative Tea Party wing of the party and is virtually tied with former Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney for the lead in Iowa.

Perry has been making signals for weeks that he is considering a run, though some question whether he will, in fact, decide to join the crowded field of GOP contenders.

"I'll be real honest with you, I don't wake up in the morning - never did and still don't today - and say, 'Gee, I want to be president of the United States,' " Perry told the newspaper.

Perry makes no apologies for his strong conservative views. He told the Republican Leadership Conference earlier this year that "our party cannot be all things to all people."

Perry had been reluctant to run for the nomination without key advisers, including his former campaign manager Rob Johnson and his top political consultant Dave Carney, both of whom were working on the presidential campaign of former House Speaker Newt Gingrich.

Johnson and Carney announced their resignations from the Gingrich campaign in June as part of a huge shake-up of the organization.

If Texas is what the Republicans say is the ideal goal for their policy...have a look at the state....
1. They have the lowest paying jobs in the country
2. Employees have lets amount of rights in the country
3. Texas has lost more middle class than anywhere in the USA
4. This tells us that the RNC wants to eliminate the middle class and go to a two class society the wealthy and those that serve the working poor, of course these people will have no healthcare and if they are in need of healthcare the republicans call their plan mortality option....corporations will have all the rights here..employees only serve ..no thinking necessary if you want this for the nation the you can vote RNC

However when his daddy Bush was in power why in the hell he didn't ask him to secure Texas borders, Perri you are a moron.

No we don't need nor want you Governor Goodhair. You and Bush have turned Texas into a third-world country of a few rich, a really small middle class and tons of poor. Consequently they also have a lot of crime.

Haven't Texas politicians at the national level screwed the county up enough already?

I've worked in the mental health field for over forty years. I have to say that the most common delusion is "God told me to." "God told me to run naked in traffic." "God told me to kill my family.". God told me to rob a convenience store. " "God told me to run for President." Just saying.

Have you noticed that all the right-wing religious zealots (Bachmann and Palin are also good examples) always attribute their "decisions" to "God told me to". Personally, I want someone who can make their own decisions.

I've often wondered how God communicates with these people who claim God "wants" them to do something. Does he send e-mails, letters, put up a sign in their front yard of something of that nature?

Someone created a New Party that would be focused on bringing the RepubliCAN &
DemOcrat Parties together ?

REpublICAN

DeMOcrAt

(Put letters together from both Parties Names above and they could
Spell: "AMERI-CAN-DO") So Why Not Work Together & Lead By Example ! ! !

TEAM UP FOR AMERICA..TEAM UP FOR OUR FUTURE GENERATION..OUR CHILDREN ARE OUR
FUTURE..OUR CHILDREN ARE WATCHING US..TIME TO;

"LEAD

BY EXAMPLE"

HOW ? ?.. By Showing Our Children..Our Future Generation that it is ok to
disagree with each other but do it in a Respectful Manner With All Americans

Best Interest In Mind & Always Use; AMERI-CAN-DO Attitude TEAM WORK Ideas That
Help To Solve Our Problems in a Positive & Respectful Manner ! !

JUST SAY YES TO; TEAM WORK.. AMERI-CAN-DO ATTITUDE, USING MUTUAL RESPECT AS OUR

GUIDELINE TO FOLLOW AT ALL TIMES ! !

We Don't Need Another Party to do
the above all We Need Is;

"THE COMMITMENT TO MAKE THE RIGHT CHOICE FOR OUR FUTURE FOR

OUR CHILDREN'S FUTURE"

"THEY ARE WATCHING HOW WE ARE DEALING WITH OUR PROBLEMS" "SO JUST
REGROUP & PLAY WELL TOGETHER"

OUR Children Don't Understand Why We Voted For THE PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED
STATES to lead our Country and why we all can't Work As A TEAM to solve our
problems and they don't Understand why he is not getting support from all of his

team members that are suppose to be helping him solve problems with positive
ideas and moral support.

OUR Children Don't Understand Why Adults teach them to practice Mutual Respect
when it comes to disagreements and work their differences out respectfully in a
calm

ADULT Manner then they see Adults Not Practicing what they taught them.

Respectfully, Michael V Caldwell,

PLEASE THINK ABOUT ALL OF
THE ABOVE BECAUSE IT IS TRUE, JUST ASK A CHILD..
