Keith Olbermann hints at Anthony Weiner talk show on Al Gore's network

That was fast.

Within hours after Anthony Weiner announced his resignation from Congress, former MSNBC gabber Keith Olbermann suggested he may hire the soon-to-be-former New York lawmaker for a talk show on former Vice President Al Gore's fledgling television network, Current TV.

Olbermann, appearing on comedian Jimmy Fallon's late night television program Thursday night, was asked how long he thinks it would be before rival network CNN created a show for Weiner.

"Well, you know, I've got a nine o'clock show that I am probably going to hire somebody for," Olbermann told Fallon, referring to the space immediately after his upcoming new show, Countdown with Keith Olbermann on Current TV.

Fallon asked Olbermann if would hire Weiner.

"Eliot Spitzer is doing okay on CNN at eight o'clock," Olbermann replied with a smile.

Olbermann is likely just drawing attention for his own show, the first episode of which airs at eight o'clock on Monday, June 20.

Don't expect a show right away. Weiner announced his resignation on Thursday, but did not actually resign.

The earliest his resignation could become official is Tuesday, when the House of Representatives returns for business. And each day he delays, his pension grows.

The National Taxpayers Union, a Virginia-based group that advocates for lower taxes and smaller government estimated Weiner could receive a total retirement payment somewhere between $1.12 million and $1.28 million, depending on when he begins collecting checks.

It is really sad that another leader of this country falls in disgrace due to their personal life and poor judgment and lack of control. Probably even sadder is that the media wants to bring him on so they exploit his disgrace.

The Republican comments are always so bitter. How sad. I would love to see Weiner host a show. I don't think he should have stepped down, it really wasn't a big deal like the GOP made it to be.

I'm glad you're thinking about using Anthony Weiner because I was so disappointed that he had made such personal mistakes that made us lose a champion for the people in the house.

As soon as it looked like he was going to have to resign I was hoping you would bring him on board.

A network owned by a lying, self-serving hypocrit Gore will hire an admitted lying, skirt-chasing hypocrit Weiner, to be a spokesman for the left wing.

PERFECT!

Finally! A network for sexual deviants. Gore! Weiner! Spitzer! Who will they interview? Annie Sprinkle, John Holmes by Ouiji board, and Xavier Hollander, the Happy Hooker!

That all should be just GREAT for sweeps week!

@actornaught: Typical liberal reply... I guess cheating on your wife with a massage therapist isn't "deviant" enough for you.

So, what's the deal? If you're too stupid to be a politician, that automatically qualifies you to have a talk-show?

What's he going to "talk" about? His weiner?

I'm not interested in listening to any loser talking about politics. That includes listening to Airhead Palin attempt to re-write American history, an aging sportscaster attempting to provide political commentary, or a middle aged man still stuck in barely pubescent mentality of wanting to show his wiener to strange women and then lying about it.

I think he should go into porn and use his nose for certain things, ask Pelosi she knows what I'm talking about. I have a theory on the liitle weiner picture. Barney Frank and his boyfriend Herb Moses from Fannie Mae the one that took us taxpayers for just 162 billion dollars think Anthony (Little WeeWee their nickname for him) Weiner shouldn't be ashamed of the picture they took in the Congressional gym . And others they took on Fire Island. If you don't know what Fire Island is it's sort of like Dupont Circle in DC where Obama's good buddy Kal Penn got mugged, wonder what he was doing there heh. Weiner probably wanted the girls he sent the picture to perform certain services to be able to get a coveted Obamacare Waiver. At least he don't belong to Jeremiah's "Down Low Club" like some more important people have. Do a google search before they change it and find out who has. Not that there's anything wrong with that. No wonder they know what teabaggers are in the White House.

Here's a verse

Doctors are retiring earlier but we're getting 17000 new IRS
This is how Obama creates health care jobs I guess
For 234 years this country's been God's blessing.
Now he's following Cloward and Piven's to bankrupt the country I'm guessing
If Obamacare gives Grandma and Grandpa a scare
Think how when their rationed and die earlier we'll save on healthcare
