Political Hotsheet welcomes Norah O'Donnell to CBS News.

The former NBC and MSNBC correspondent will be our chief White House correspondent. In addition to her White House duties, O'Donnell will also be the principal substitute anchor for Bob Schieffer on "Face the Nation," and will report for all CBS News broadcasts, including "60 Minutes."

Look for her contributions starting next month.

Our current Chief White House Correspondent Chip Reid will become a CBS News national correspondent based in Washington, and will continue his contributions to Hotsheet.

I am so very disappointed, I was excited to get Liberal Katie gone, but then they hire this person! What gives. Who could trust her? I sure can't and I will NO longer tune in to the New CBS Evening news. It was nice while it lasted. Shame on CBS for ruining a good thing!

It is sad to see CBS go all the way to the depths reached by NBC and MSNBC.

With the new nightly anchor replacement, they were looking like they could report the news.....whoops!
It's gone now.

Norah O'Donnell is a poor choice --- but she is attractive -- maybe no one will hear her swooning over Obama.

Who really cares what MSNBC ever has to say. Now with the addition of this wacko who will really care about what CBS has to say.

You are so correct. Ms. O'Donnell is Chris Matthews' protege. They are joined at the hip in their tingles over Obama and in their biased so-called journalism.

How sad for CBS as O'Donnell is so liberal she has no credibility with most folks. CBS just made such a good decision with the evening news, and now they have taken a major step backward.

I guess MSNBC was not liberal enough for her. Talk about someone in the tank for Obama.

I like Norah O'Donnell. I enjoyed seeing her on Sundays on NBC News or on a panel discussing political issues. She bright, cute and not biased in her opinions. Unlike that little she devil Katie "Colic".
I hope she got a big fat contract.

No question that she is "cute" -- Perhaps that is the reason you have not listened to anything she says.
Although Katie Couric is a liberal, O'Donnell is so biased she doesn't even try to hide it.
I guess that's what you get with "cute."
