Herman Cain: I prove Tea Party isn't racist

GOP presidential candidate Herman Cain is out with a music video/biographical introduction that puts a heavy focus on his race - and casts his presidential run as evidence that Tea Party supporters are not racist.

"To all of those people who say that the Tea Party is a racist organization, eat your words," Cain, who is African-American, says in the video above.

One African-American supporter featured in the video says she and the Tea Party are more interested in America's colors than skin color.

"When people ask me about the Tea Party, they ask me if it's about color, and I say 'yes it is, it's about red, white and blue,'" she says.

Cain, the former Godfather's Pizza CEO, has proved unexpectedly popular in early Republican presidential polling.

While he is considered a long shot for the nomination, he was perhaps the breakout candidate at the first and only Republican presidential debate so far, with a Fox News focus group lauding his performance

In an interview with CBSNews.com earlier this month, conservative publisher Andrew Breitbart said his dream presidential ticket includes Cain and another African-American, Florida Rep. Allen West.

Those two on the ticket would "blow up the death star of political correctness that the left uses against the right," Breitbart said.

Cain's video includes a country song deeming the candidate "a true son of the South" as well of pictures of Cain and his family. The singer encourages people to "get on board the Herman Cain train."

Cain himself is seen saying, "I left that Democrat plantation a long time ago - and I ain't going back!"

"My great, great grandparents were slaves, and now I'm running for president of the United States of America," he says later. "Is this a great country or what?"

The video closes with a call from various people to "raise some Cain" - that is, raise money for and donate to Cain's campaign.

How many times am I going to have to show people this link? One of them yelled "Heil Hitler" at a Jewish guy when he spoke about the benefits of Universal Healthcare and the rest of them, instead of saying "hey that's messed up", backed her and told the Jewish man he needed to leave because he didn't belong. You don't get much more racist than that.

If Herman Cain, a self-made success story of Capitalist America and legitimate fiscal conservative, barely gets half the support that Palin the quitter pulls, what does that say about the state of the GOP today?

Yeah Cain and Clarence Thomas prove that the Tea Party KKKlan is not racist. Sure, right. And the Tea Bag is a grass roots group that does not get any money from any billionaires. And I have a bridge to sell you in Brooklyn. And oceanfront property for you in Kansas.

Sure, always believe it's the "Rich Man" that's the reason. It isn't just rich people. It's the backbone of conservative America noloyalisti that fund the major campaign. Families who poured out sweat and blood into his campaign so they can demand results. Not hoping on dreams that are to far away to come true. And sure, the Tea Party is racist. Because they're racist towards those that hate the RED, WHITE, AND BLUE!!

When all those "non-racists" tea partiers vote Cain as the Republican nominee I'll start to question my belief that the tea perty movement is 90% racism.
But I won't be holding my breath for that moment!

Cain is like their token black Republicon like Palin was the token Republicon woman.

Obozo is the one who made whites and blacks more divied than any other president despite his 'promise' to unite us all. Ha ha ha, what a joke.

Anyway, I'd vote for Cain in a heartbeat. I'd vote for anyone. The sure way to get rid of Obozo is to run another black against him.

But wait til you see what they do to him when he does announce. They will call him Uncle Tom, they'll dig up everything they can on him and much more.

That's the way the Democraps operate. They'll do anything and everything they can to finish the destruction of this country.

Wake up people, before it's too late. There won't be any elections again if Obozo gets another term. He wants to be a dictator and will do it if you put him back for 4 more years. If you can't see that, you don't deserve to vote., you're too stupid.

Y'all the scare tactics are just not gonna work this time!
Here we are over 2 years into Obamas presidency and guess what?
The country is still Here! Still Free! Still got my gun! No Sharia Law!

You're gonna have to come up with a new tactic...like perhaps Better Ideas! Yeah, Good Luck with that! ; )

To xlib:

You forget your history. The South was Democratic after the Civil War because the Republicans were liberal. That lasted until the 60s when the northern (and western) Democrats and northern Republicans got the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and the Voting Rights Act of 1965 passed. The racist south then switched to Republican. The Democrats became the liberal party and the Republicans became the conservative party. Nixon was the first to use the Southern Strategy of appealing to the baser instincts of that population. So for the last 45 years, KKK and Democrats have not been associated, but KKK and Republicans have, in that, while only a minority of Republicans are KKK, the vast majority of KKK are Republicans, not Democrats.

No sir, you are not proof that the Tea Party isn't racist. You are a mere puppet. Don't take yourself so seriously. (Your pizza isn't/wasn't that great.)

Don't know about Cain, but Godfather's is and was the best pizza I have ever had from a chain.
