When it comes to Libya, "war" is a dirty word for White House

Shortly after an off-camera briefing by White House press secretary Jay Carney with reporters, CBS News chief White House correspondent Chip Reid told CBS News' Rob Hendin that the administration is "still on track, they believe, to hand over authority, the lead, on this mission in Libya."

Carney also stressed that it will be days, not weeks, before the administration gives up control of the mission. In "maybe eight to nine days it's going to happen," Reid said.

Reid also noted that the White House is strongly against calling this mission a "war," a word which has caused tension among lawmakers on both sides of the aisle in Washington.

"They're really avoiding the use of that word," Reid told Hendin.

Both Carney and Ben Rhodes, deputy national security adviser, define U.S. involvement in Libya as "limited military action," according to Reid who added, "Limited both in duration and scope. They don't want to get into calling this a war because that, of course, would involve Congressional approval."

Meanwhile, I noted two stories that CBS did not write about this week: Holder's Justice Department ordered Dayton, OH to lower police entrance exams standards because not enough black candidates made passing grades; 0bammer loaned billions to Brazil for their off-shore drilling, promising that the US would become their customers for the oil (while still limiting oil production/jobs in the US).
Also to the brain dead that keep blaming the republicans which I am not one ,even if it is fair to say they are partly to blame you can not dispute the truth. The demos have held control of the congress 36 of the last 50 years. So what ever problems America has it is clearly at the Demos door step far more than the Republicans. Now of the 14 years the GOP had the congress what happened ? Well in the 1990's they gave us a balanced budget. When have the Demos done that?

At least one Christian has been killed, many more have been injured and anywhere from 3,000 to 10,000 have been displaced in the attacks that began March 2 after a Christian in the community of Asendabo was accused of desecrating the Koran.

the whitehouse can't say muslim extremeist, war in Iraq or War in Afganistan. got to be poitically correct and cannot offend anybody even though their mission in life is to kill anybldy not muslim and take over the west!
