Biden: Palin Formidable, but Couldn't Beat Obama
In television appearances Thursday and Friday, Vice President Joe Biden pushed back - at least a little - saying that he believes Palin has a good chance of winning the Republican nomination in 2012 but that Mr. Obama "would be in good shape" to beat her in the general election.
"My mom used to have an expression - 'Be careful what you wish for, Joe, you may get it.' So I never underestimate anyone," Biden told CNN's Larry King Thursday. "But I think, in that race, it would be a clear, clear choice for the country to make, and I believe President Obama would be in very good shape."
It's not clear what the White House had to gain from responding to two years ahead of the next election, but Biden made a point of repeatedly stressing that Palin is not to be underestimated, even though he believes Mr. Obama would win.
Biden echoed the same theme during a Friday appearance on MSNBC's "Morning Joe."

The husband has been and may still be a member of the alaska independence party. Which wants to do what the south did in 1860, split off from the USA
The daughter Bristol, the perfect example of the results of a snake handler believing Mom who talks about abstinence. Kids can see through their parents hypocrisy so clearly.
It looks like the whole family is infected with Palinism - a danger to the health of our society.
And kid you not, if she and her people gain control, the next step would be the extremist christians fighting with each other. Similar with what happened in Iraq - Sunni - ***** killing each other. And for decasdes in Northern Ireland - Catholics and Protestants firebombing each other . Even wedding parties where the Bride and Groom were mixed religion.
God save us. Is there an anti-dote for Palinism?
Nope. If he was actually trying to correct the system, there would have been no health care, no bank bailouts, no Cornhusker kickbacks. There would be no attack on our financial and educational systems and people would actually see something.
These comments indicate that people don't really understand what Obama is doing. They still think he has our best interests in mind. Guess what folks, he doesn't.
These leaders spent their lives around people who hate our nation and see it as something that needs to be fundamentally changed. This is not for our advantage. We have some real bad people in charge right now and Obama's charm isn't cutting it with those who have awoken. What really scares me are people that have no clue and drive themselves to the voting booth. It's time to wise up. And any GOP standing in the way will get run over as well.
This is serious and people are sick of listening to how ruined the left is over Palin - while completely ignoring the real problem. It's sickening.
But the interesting part is that who gave us the all but second great depression - the wild west economics of the republican deregulation of wall street. Think of it as a grand version of the Enron disaster. Three months before the collapse guess who resigned from the board - none other then George HW Bush. A billionaire who had to know what was coming.
And if it wasn't for the republican disaster re the economy, we darn well could have afforded "Obamacare" or some version of it. Fifteen trillion $$ of family net worth disolved during the ecnonomic catastrophe. Its will be a long time before people recover from this kind of disaster.
While the republicans keep giving corporate America tax breaks for outsourcing jobs to slave labor states.
And re the recent election, remember that the people of the most cultured nation in Europe, desperate for any solution to the economic results of the 1 st great repub depression and how it spread all over the world -- It was 1933 - who did they vote for in Germany?
My whole point - I see Palin hate as a purposeful distraction from the the real damage taking place. Don't fall for it.
Can we stick to facts? Please
If we count accomplishment in the last two years
Financial reform
Medicare reform
Bail out of the Auto industry saving GM and the jobs there
We'll see how fast all this is unwound to the benefit of the Backers of the industries
The party is all coming to an end. No more will the people listen to this tripe. Obama declared war on the people - the GOP declared war on the Gov. That's what I am talking about.
"Obama has tried to get us out of the mess Bush put us in."
That is total nonsense. In fact Obama and co have purposely tried to make the situation worse in hopes of our country becoming a nanny state.
People still stuck on Palin aren't smart enough to see that George Soros is the real threat to our country. You sound like my dad using jokes from the 80s. Let's pull it together people.
Give it up. Obama is a disaster and everyone knows it. Look at how much he has spent compared to Bush.
Oh and BTW, everyone can also tell that the hate is stemmed from her being a woman and a conservative - nothing more. The bigotry on the left is a disgrace to our nation.
Remember when he told the nation that he was giving President Bush private advice on the war in Iraq. Ha Ha hA.
YES WE CAN
Palin stomps Obama. People still on the hate Palin train are behind the times.
