Donald Trump: I'm "Absolutely Thinking About" Running for President

In a move seemingly designed to bump up ratings for the 10th season of his NBC show "The Apprentice," Donald Trump is now saying he "absolutely" is thinking about running for President in 2012 - despite making a statement to the contrary just yesterday.

"I can tell you this - for the first time in my life, I am absolutely thinking about it," Trump said of a presidential bid on MSNBC's "Morning Joe" today.

"I don't know that I'll do it. It's probable that I won't do it. But I can tell you, I'm thinking about it," Trump said.

Speculation that the real estate magnate was plotting a political career arose yesterday amid news that New Hampshire voters were polled recently on their thoughts on Trump's viability for a 2012 Presidential candidacy.

Trump said yesterday that he was not behind the poll - and that running for President was "certainly not something I've talked about or would consider," according to CNN.

But today, in a telephone interview with Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski, Trump changed his tune, railing against American leadership on economic issues and foreign policy and saying he thought the country needed to be taken in a new direction.

"Somebody has to do something," he said. "We are losing this country. This country will not be great if something isn't done rapidly."

And while Trump reiterated today that he was not involved in the New Hampshire poll, he said that its results looked promising for his potential political prospects. "Somebody took a poll because they heard me on shows like this where I talk about what's happening to this country," he said. "And guess what! The results were very positive for Trump."

We need leaders to truly understand how economy works: supply, demand, needs and wants, imports, exports, and then how the dream screme Wall Street works. Wall Street is nothing more than a Pimp and Prostitute show and tell paper scheme. What we need are leaders who truly want to see America pulled out of this deep seeded near depression caused by irresponsible politicians who caused moral hazard to our country and who double dip into same used funds, which is called "kiting" in banking terms. This immoral attitude in keeping slavery alive on the backs of the poor and middle class is absurd. So President Obama and his team have two years to turn this country around. If he can't do it then who? More republicans who will ruin this country for sure. So two years guys and gals. It's "down and dirty" and about to be called in. Soon, no more rounds but "call" by the American people.

Of course he's thinking about it. With that jumbo sized ego he's sportin', you know he spends all sorts of time thinking about being the "leader of the free world". I wish New York wouldn't have bailed him out that time that he went broke, we wouldn't have to put up with his icky shtick now.

Trump is not a public service kind of person. He's always been out for number one. Nothing wrong in that - it is well suited for business - but not for governing the lives of people.

Hmmm let me fact check: I see an old white rich guy wanting to "take back the counntry". The Old White Rich Guys effed up the country so badly when they had it, that even THEY lost half their fortunes.

Do you know that 1% of the wealthiest people in America received 25% of all the money in 2007? This has happend only one other time in our history; the year before the depression stock market crash.

If you want to live like a republican, you'll have to vote for a democrat.

I confess that I will enjoy the circus, though, if La Donald runs.

Wow, you got nearly every stereotyped Democrat talking point into one post. You didn't mention racism directly which causes you to lose points but you did mention rich white guys which gives you points. You get an A.

I think Dark Truder and Traxie would have a better chance of being elected than Trump and that ridiculous (unnamed) toupee of his.

Donald Trump has discovered what Sarah Palin and her mini-me Christine O'Donnel have already found out. You don't have to be elected to collect on CAMPAIGN FUNDS!

Trump will no doubt turn over huge I MEAN HUGE! profits from constructive and creative commingled campaign donations.
