Democrat Sides With Bush, Not Obama, in Ad

A new ad from Rep. Earl Pomeroy (D-North Dakota) ties the incumbent congressman not to fellow Democrat Barack Obama but rather his Republican predecessor, George W. Bush.

The 30-second ad notes that Pomeroy sided with Mr. Bush on a Medicare prescription drug plan and joined Republicans on stricter regulations for internet sex offenders. It also criticizes his Republican opponent, Rick Berg, for being on the opposite side on those issues.

"When George Bush proposed a Medicare prescription plan, Earl Pomeroy voted yes, putting seniors before party," a narrator says in the spot. "Berg would roll back prescription drug coverage."

The congressional race in North Dakota is a toss-up at this point in the election season, CBS News estimates.

Many Democrats have sought to distance themselves from their president and his party to win reelection, though few have embraced Mr. Bush, who was widely unpopular with when he left office.

I'm confused. What is the big difference between Bush and Obama (other than the animal on their party pin)?

President Obama wants the federal government to run 100% of your life, instead of President Bush's 50%.

We all know who owns and runs the government since the disaster of Reagan. At least Reagan is only the SECOND worst president of all time since the Bushoccio Crime Family regime.

So why are dems opposed to geting health insurance outside thier own state? Seems kinda odd to support one aspect of the healthcare system within the state to another.
