Renee Ellmers Ad: No Muslim "Victory Mosque" at Ground Zero

Renee Ellmers, who is trying to unseat Democratic Rep. Bob Etheridge in North Carolina, is out with an ad in which "the Muslims" and "the terrorists" seem to be used more or less interchangeably.

The ad is focused on the planned Islamic cultural center a few blocks from the former site of the World Trade Center.

In the spot, a narrator says, "After the Muslims conquered Jerusalem, and Cordoba, and Constantinople they built victory mosques. And, now, they want to build a mosque by Ground Zero. Where does Bob Etheridge stand? He won't say. Won't speak out. Won't take a stand." (Etheridge's spokesman says the congressman does not support the project.)

Ellmers then appears onscreen.

"The terrorists haven't won," she says. "And we should tell them in plain English: No, there will never be a mosque at Ground Zero."

Ellmers, who has been endorsed by Sarah Palin, is considered the underdog in the race. She was helped somewhat back in July when video surfaced of Etheridge seemingly hitting a camera being wielded by a self-identified student who approached him on the street asking questions.

Slappy, my friend, while you r correct in saying that a building that is not a mosque, is in fact not mosque, u r it seems 2 me, missing that a mosque that is included with the building is a mosque & the terrorist group Hamas has already called it a victory mosque, because even if u don?t get the symbolic significance of the fact the original name of the Complex was The CORDOBA House backed by the CORDOBA Initiative, Imam Rauf & Hamas do.

The building has a number of other spaces, that in total give a bit of height. The top two floors ARE a mosque. There is enough height with all the other floors for the mosque to be able to look over Ground Zero - which is the whole point.

It is not built by terrorists - and it probably wont be built by NYC builders who are likely to boycott it. There are some serious questions about the funding however - and nobody can say that there are no extremists/terrorists who have provided money.

HAMAS has praised the building of the mosque for the very reason that it represents the 'victory' of 911

It's about time someone told the truth about Islam. The liberal media and the left in American and Europe are firmly on the side of Islamist terrorists.
