New Conservative Entertainment Network "RightNetwork" Launches

For those dissatisfied with the content provided by the "lamestream media," there's a new on-demand television station and multi-platform network that caters specifically to conservative audiences.

RightNetwork, which officially launched yesterday, seeks "to present the values and beliefs that America was built upon," according to the network's website.

The network will feature a variety of original content. Its first series, "Running," follows Tea Party-backed candidates running for public office. Other shows include "Politics and Poker" -- which is just what it sounds like -- and a sitcom about a fictional Senate campaign. The network will also offer old episodes of William F. Buckley's "Firing Line" and Milton Friedman's "Uncommon Knowledge."

RightNetwork President Kevin McFeeley said the network's investors are banking on their programming winning the support of audiences that have made conservative programming on Fox News and talk radio popular, the Associated Press reports. The only two investors in the privately held company that have been publicly identified, the AP reports, are actor Kelsey Grammer and Ed Snider, chairman of Comcast-Spectacor and owner of the Philadelphia 76ers and Flyers. Grammer also serves as the public face of the network.

"If you have NBC, ABC, you have entire networks flooded with a very particular point of view," he reportedly said. "They won't admit it, but it's clearly the way it is. There's plenty of room for us."

RightNetwork's programming is available on Verizon FiOS on-demand services, online and through mobile devices.

Oh yeah, there's a guy holding a flag with no head. That's the symbol I want for MY network. Who needs a brain I got an ideology!

Conservatives love to scream about the evil, left leaning liberal press (which I think is a bunch of hooey to a large extent) and now these hypocrites are going to launch exactly the kind of biased media outlet they claim to be so against. Fair and balanced my a**.

This will be a breath of fresh air for the world. Although "lame-stream" prime time programming is entertaining, ABC, NBC and CBS do not show some religous movies, tv shows, or family friendly themes. This will add a whole new section of old movies and great ideas to the current "Polictically Correct" entertainment biz. Hopefully, it will get enough advertising revenue to move the channel to Comcast, Dish, Direct and other cable providers. I'll be 'TIVO'ing that channel most of the time.

i'll bet they have nothing but politically themed programming ... since those on the right pass everything thru their idealogical filter.

ask any of them who their favorite actor, comedian, or musician is ... and all of them will be hard pressed to respond ... and those who do will only name personalities who have clearly indicated their own political alignment.
