Ben Quayle, son of former Vice President Dan Quayle, won the Republican nomination for Arizona's third congressional seat after a brutal 10-way primary.

Quayle won 23 percent of the vote, with his two closest competitors, businessman Steve Moak and former state Sen. Jim Waring, winning 18 percent and 17 percent, respectively.

He managed to pull off a victory after fending off attacks focused on issues like his affiliation with a raunchy gossip website, while drawing more attention to his race with his own brash ad, in which he said, "Barack Obama is the worst president in history."

The crowded primary included a number of staunch conservatives, such as Pamela Gorman, a state senator who co-sponsored Arizona's controversial immigration bill and ran a campaign ad featuring her firing a Thompson sub-machine gun.

Along with name recognition, Quayle had the advantage of money, relying on the help of his father's connections to raise $1.3 million for his campaign. Former Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld contributed to his campaign, the Associated Press reported, and former President George H.W. Bush and his wife Barbara hosted a fundraiser for him.

Quayle will now face off against Democrat Jon Hulburd to replace retiring Rep. John Shadegg. While the district is conservative, Hulburd has raised more than $700,000 for his campaign, indicating Democrats intend to make it a competitive race, the Arizona Republic reports.

You have got to be kidding me....this silver spoon fed elitist Scottsdale party boy that known for his hookers, bottle service and getting trashed and banging local talent goes through his dads rolodex to get enough money to throw out a commercial name calling the Pres and he gets the majority vote. Seriously, WHO voted for this guy, you need to be drop kicked. He is going to represent you? This clown has no idea what morals or hard work is and if you voted for him you deserve the dirty scandals and corruption that you already have a preview of if you have paid any attention.

"The 'FACT' is that closest thing the Tea Party has to a platform is their proposed Contract From America which lists ten items all of which deal with economic reform, government accountability in fiscal matters and constitutional basis for passage of new laws."

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

So most of the signatories of the contract have already violated it the first "commandment" of the contract, "Protect the Constitution" by their desire to block the Muslim community center from being built. But I guess they only really care about their freedoms and liberties.

LMAO! Stupid ass Reps. Why on EARTH do you keep nominating unelectable candidates. You are giving the Democrats the keys to the Senate. This guy won 23 percent of the Republican vote, wow, no way he is going to get the independents, which are going to be the biggest factor in November. This guy is a spoiled, extreme elitist. Way to go Reps, dumbasses.

the real question for any politician should be... do you play golf all day long? or do you plan to remain on vacation your entire term? or Do you plan on breaking the few things that actually work in this country?

Seeing is believing. Look at the facts, please. What happened to school room prayer? What happened to The Ten Commandments? Who found a way into the Social Security funds? Who has sliced medicare to the bone, which has doctors and clinics opting out of the program? Democrats, that's who. Who tried to make veterans pay for their care? A democratic president who wants to be a dictator and says he will stand by the Muslims..That's who. I used to be a democrat, but not anymore.

A) I'm not sure what you are blathering about with the Ten Commandments and school room prayer, complete idiocy.
B) Social Security funds have been pilfered for years, and many presidents have written I Owe You's to it, including funding for the WAR IN IRAQ!
C) Medicare has actually be extended by the Health Care Reform to eliminate the donut hole the Bush added in to help his corporate cronies.
D) The standing by Muslims in the country is out of context. He stated in his book that he will fight for freedom of religion for all religions. If there was a backlash against Muslims he would stand up to defend their rights as with any other religious group.
E) I'm not sure why you would think Obama wants to be a dictator, and by the way Bush said he would prefer to be dictator instead of president.
F) Doesn't sound like you were really a Democrat.

Ben Quayle is absolutely the WORST Republican Congressional Primary winner for Arizona's Third District and Son of a Former Vice President in US History!
