White House Connects Broadway & High School Music Students
Continuing the White House's music series celebrating the arts, First Lady Michelle Obama invited local high school students to perform with some of Broadway's biggest stars in the East Wing.
Nathan Lane and "Wicked" star Idina Menzel joined 20 dance students from the Joy of Motion Dance Center and the Duke Ellington School of the Arts.
"Washington Unplugged" was invited to a dress rehearsal at the White House where we caught up with Joy of Motion students Ethan Kasnetz, Lauren Harris and Leah Flamm. The First Lady welcomed the performers saying, "this is exactly what we envisioned happening when we started this music series, opening up this White House to so many original forms of music."
