Putting people on the supreme court that will disregard the meaning of the constitution and bill of rights will help destroy this country as we know it. With Obama's picks, coupled with Ginsburg (a aclu person, placed by Carter} there is little chance the constitution and bill of rights will not be destroyed. I was also surprised that the republicans did not do more to prevent her nomination. Do we really have a two party system???????????????????

problem with this administration is academia types--I could qualify as an academia type but went the way of reality -- american reality -- Obama's cadre of academia types (acronym perhaps for intellectuals ?) such as Kagan, Emmanuel, Jarrett etc. suffers from 3 things basically: (1) parents are foreign born i.e. Russia, Iran, Israel, and of course Africa and IndonesiaIran etc.and they lacked the subtle reinforcement of what makes one an American ie. their formative years frame of reference was perhaps not the same as someone with American parents/adults and/or foreighn parents who whole heartedly accepted America as it is ( or whose American parents were not intellectuals, or radicals etc.)-- in essence regardless of the academic cadre credentials of this administration the gut of being an American just does not seem to be part of their American DNA; (2) their ideas are boorishly retro and out of line with the average American (3) not understanding that even if the average American is lacking in academia and perhaps analytical capabilities, the average American soon recognizes when the BS of change means the lack of change in his pocket -- Americans will work hard for things and some basic ideas (individual freedom, personal choices) not lofty ideas

that the BS of change has been recognized for what it is -- an attempt to change America's basic ideas, principles and character for some pie in the sky academia nonsense which won't work but will bankrupt the country, ruin people's lives and challenge our republics resources

the media contributed greatly to the attempt to change our Republics basic ideas with its slanted yellow journalism and lack of in depth investigative reporting

the media certainly proved that they were not journalist but Hollywood type papparazzi types following and supporting the most inexperience democrat of all time back stabbing the experienced
democrat Hillary Clinton

K. Couric's demeanor toward Palin was repulsive during that infamous interview --shame on Katy and shame on CBS

the media and democratic party along with most members of Congress and Senate (of both parties) are shallow, often silly, with little substance but unfortunately for the country their actions have consequences

Graham whom I use to like is now acting like a cutie pie similar to that fool who left his cancer ridden wife --another Carolinian --- well I
digress

god bless America despite the bias media, charlatans, carpetbeggars, fools and academics charting our course through CHANGE

with full knowledge of the liberal background that kagan has exhibited, i for one can't believe the repubs did not put up a fight ! this example of the liberalism by the republicans gives more proof that the entire entrenched congress and senate must be voted out . my local representative is as flakey as a box of granola , and i will definitely not vote for this rube again ;and will do everything i can to persuade others as well .

I think Kagan is entirely too liberal for the Supreme Court. Her views on various issues are not in the best interest of the whole country. I believe she is being placed in this position for the benefit of the Democratic party. I believe this position should be filled by the people through casting a vote for the person who the people feel should be in this position. I strongly oppose this woman for the Supreme Court, but I realize that my opinion doesn't count.

While Kagan may have book knowledge of law, I sincerely doubt she has ever truly read the Constitution and comprehended what she read. From what I have read and learned about her, she has no actual experience as any sort of Justice in any way shape or form. I think that anyone being nominated and confirmed to the Supreme Court should always have had to have some judical experience and not as a clerk or a justice of the peace, but honest to God judicial experience before even being considered for nomination. This woman was well rehersed in what to say and pointed out in her responses how little she knows of the Constitution and how she does not even consider it a relevant way of judging our written laws. What a joke, unfortunately we get stuck with her anyway!

When the Public Servants destroy Public Trust in their fiduciary obligations to the Constitution, the Government is undermined and is no longer a viable expression of the Will of WE THE PEOPLE - and is no longer operating with Legitimate Authority.

"But when a long train of abuses and usurpations pursuing invariably the same object, evidence a design to reduce them under absolute despotism, it is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such government..." - Declaration of Independence

Our Founding Fathers threw Tea Bales with a TAX ASSESSMENT on them into the Sea.

It looks like we will have to throw the Public Servants overboard, before THEY get the Message.

It is WE THE PEOPLE in Authority, and the Govt office holders are Public Servants, NOT OUR OVERLORDS!

Our Founding Fathers believed in Great Liberty.
But they acknowledged and demanded ACCOUNTABILITY and RESPONSIBILITY, and expected CONSEQUENCES to be accepted by all.

Kagan isn't a Judge, hasn't got ONE IOTA of Judicial temperament in her entire being. The amount she has is commiserate with her level of Respect for the Constitution.

She is the right person for the job, and I cannot think of one she is the right person for, IN AMERICA.

She should instead be on trial for three or four of the different things she has done - the alterations on the Partial Birth Abortion Findings she made, changing the full intention of the report; her activities against the Military; her activities to promote a Socialist, Anti-Constitutional atmosphere on a govt-funded University that has a ONCE PROUD Heritage into a subversive den of plotting TRAITORS.

Kagan. This radical fat cow self hating idiot is disgusting. She hates the first amendment. She hates guns and wants them gone. She hates America, freedom and our liberty. She belongs in jail for treason not on SCOTUS. Why are we putting up with the enemies of freedom and liberty? This rat vermin Kagan needs to be exposed. She also said in her Princeton papers that she laments the decline of socialism in the USA. She is a socialist. She hates America and liberty. She wants to legislate form the bench. She has no regard for the law abiding tax paying public and seeks only to subjugate us for her oligarchical collectivist masters.

Kagan supports the banning books:

Elena Kagan no doubt has academic qualifications that are to be esteemed. She has, however, NO experience as a judge. She has been a foe of the 2nd Amendment of the Constitution which allows the citizenry of this nation to keep and bear arms. She a a supporter of "gay" rights.

If someone were to be put in the cockpit of your next jetliner flight, and you knew that this "captain" had spent years studying about airplanes, and perhaps taught the theory of lift on blackboards, but had NO experience at the controls, would you want this person to be your captain???

Senators of the United States....DO NOT confirm Elena Kagan as a Supreme Court justice. You've already made one terrible choice in the form of Sotomayor. Don't repeat....PLEASE!!! Spare America from such politicos as judges.
