Hillary Clinton Says White House Will Sue Over Arizona Immigration Law

According to President Obama and Attorney General Eric Holder, the Justice Department is currently in the process of deciding whether or not to file suit over Arizona's controversial immigration law, which Mr. Obama has called "misguided" and potentially discriminatory.

According to Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, however, the decision has already been made.

"President Obama has spoken out against the law because he thinks that the federal government should be determining immigration policy," she said in an interview with an Ecuadorean television station flagged by The Right Scoop. "And the Justice Department, under his direction, will be bringing a lawsuit against the act."

The Arizona law, which would go into effect in July, requires immigrants in the state to carry documents verifying their immigration status and requires police officers to question a person about his or her immigration status during a "lawful stop" if there is "reasonable suspicion" that person may be in the country illegally.

Holder has indicated that he believes "the law is an unfortunate one that will be subject to potential abuse" and said that the Justice Department is "considering a court challenge."

It is not clear whether Clinton was just making a prediction or whether she was getting ahead of a planned announcement by the administration. The Justice Department said today it is continuing to review the law.

Were on Jan Brewer side of the fence and she should stand her ground
against the obama administration.
Guess he doesn't think entering the united states is a crime.
Mexicans are no better than whites or blacks. And when their stopped
the first thing that's ask for is your ID.
Where is the abuse of that.
And to answer obama on his federal policy on immigration, well the people
have a say in that because their coming in the USA taking their jobs.
And their not fining the buisnesses for hiring them, when they should be reporting them.
Eric Holder is just as Dumb , as obama.
Obama only want their votes.

I suggest critics research California Penal Code Section 834b, which states, in part: "With respect to any such person who is arrested, and suspected of being present in the United States in violation of federal immigration laws, every law enforcement agency shall do the following:

"Attempt to verify the legal status of such person as a citizen of the United States, an alien lawfully admitted as a permanent resident, an alien lawfully admitted for a temporary period of time or as an alien who is present in the United States in violation of immigration laws. The verification process may include, but shall not be limited to, questioning the person regarding his or her date and place of birth, and entry into the United States, and demanding documentation to indicate his or her legal status."

Of course - there's thousands if not millions of potential democratic voters at stake to be lost with this law. And let's face it, the main thing pretty much all politicians primarily care about is just staying in office, so they can keep enjoying their fat cat lifestyles and avoid having to rejoin the real world! So no surprise here........

made me laugh here; someone finally gets what's really going on; the Dems will lose voters and they can't afford to; there are not enough real citizens to keep them in office.

The State of Arizona should counter-sue the federal government for not upholding federal laws that would have addressed this issue. Are we doomed?

The White House is using the Justice Department solely for political purposes. This should be an impeachable offense, on top of all the OTHER impeachable offenses and breaches of the Constitution this "president" has been involved in. There is no way they can win this lawsuit and they are posturing for the Mexican votes. They will drag it out during the election season to get the most effect. What a shameless Charlatan this so-call "president" has turned out to be.

as the current usa socialist administration sues az, the dept of the interior issues warnings to visitors of all the parks & monuments on the southern az border with mexico.
warnings that vistors may be kidnapped, killed, raped, be-headed, mutilated, or carved into tiny pieces for the ants to cart off!!
az is hugely less safe because this current socialist communist leninist maoist administration & its radical congress has their own agenda - to cripple the usa; to bankrupt the usa; to cut the usa down to size; to fault & condemn the usa for every stinkin thing that is tragic here in the usa and/or globally; to not let any disasterous situation be solved because it represents another political opportunity for obama to transform the usa into a tyrannical socialist communist leninist maoist country.
we must take our country back beginning nov 2, 2010!!!!!

Hilary, This will not help your Presidential aspirations. You may want to reconsider.

This is typical of this administration. Ignore the will of the people. Ignore the rights of the states. Federal government rules everything. Come quickly November.
