Obama, Clark Kellogg Play Basketball at White House (Video)

CBS

Earlier this week, CBS Sports' Clark Kellogg, the lead college basketball analyst during Saturday night's Final Four broadcast, joined President Obama and CBS "Early Show" co-anchor Harry Smith on the White House basketball court. They played a game of P-O-T-U-S - like H-O-R-S-E, but with the acronym standing for "President of the United States."

The game aired Saturday night during halftime of the Butler-Michigan State game.

As they played, Kellogg asked Mr. Obama a couple questions about the president's well-known love of the game of basketball and his take on the NCAA tournament so far.

"This has been probably one of the most balanced tournaments that we've seen," Mr. Obama said, playing the role of sports analyst like he did in January when he joined Kellogg during a telecast of a Duke-Georgetown game. "Terrific excitement... when you see, like a Northern Iowa, pull off a game like they did against Kansas... that makes everybody invested in the tournament. And that's what makes March Madness terrific."

Mr. Obama also promoted the first lady's "Let's Move" campaign to fight childhood obesity.

As for the game itself, Kellogg jumped out to a big lead on the president... but then Mr. Obama got hot hitting shots from three-point range and ended up winning.

It is nice to see a president who is not ABOVE the American people and can get down with normal everyday activities like the rest of us do!

I watched the game of P-O-T-U-S with Clark Kellogg and I think its wonderful to see our president engage in the affairs with our society in terms of highly anticipated events such as NCAA March madness, Super-bowl, Golf and other major sporting events. I hope folks will see the good out of this as a trait too others to promote good health in taking the time to participate in extracurricular activities to aid in a healthy living lifestyle. Good job Mr. President in passing new health care reform laws for the "Moral Principals" in our society in doing the right thing for our people in this country who don't have access to health care. Everyday I see that you are addressing and fixing one issue at a time during your presidential term in which you committed to do under oath and the caring of our future. I sincerely hope the people in our country to continue supporting you to address the problems that has led to historical low confident in the direction of our future. As we face many uncertainties along the way, we can at least witness unprecedented reforms from our president, congress, house and senate that my give us a glimpse of better times ahead. As laws being passed and enacted from all branches of government, this goes to show that Republicans and democrats are working together as partisanship to the betterment of our country. And Even though I witness the everyday "Clash of the titans" between the two parties, nevertheless the battle between the two are needed to assure that we do what is right for the people of our country. When new laws and reforms are enacted, both the republicans and democrats are working together as one branch of government as we recall "We as the people" in our constitution. I hope your next agenda will be to fix our ailing economy. However, you alone cannot do this without the support and "Moral Principals" from our country leaders, politicians and people in doing the right thing for the United States. By the way, although you have just left Charlotte, NC, and If you ever return, I know of a good place to go for a burger and fries. Join me?
