Health Bill Will Likely Be Signed Tuesday

President Obama will likely sign the health care reform bill that passed the House last night in the "late morning" tomorrow, according to White House press secretary Robert Gibbs.

Weather permitting, Gibbs said, the signing will be on the South Lawn outside the White House. He said President Obama will likely make remarks as he signed the bill.

The House passed the Senate version of the health care legislation last night, along with a separate reconciliation bill making changes to the legislation. The reconciliation package, which strips out some of the special deals included in the Senate bill, now goes to the Senate.

If and when the Senate approves the reconciliation package, it goes to the president, who vows to sign it. But until the president signs that second bill, the Senate bill -- which many House lawmakers would not have voted for without the reconciliation package -- will be the law of the land.

On his Twitter feed Monday, Gibbs announced that Mr. Obama would travel to Iowa City, Iowa on Thursday -- which Gibbs billed as "the city where the grassroots campaign for health insurance reform started in May 2007."

We should all watch closely as Obama signes the most massive, corrupt, costly bill in the history of the nation into law. A bill that is the product of lies to the CBO about its cost, and the largest most corrupt vote buying scheme in the history of the United States Congress. When Obama signs the bill the Louisiana Purchase, the Cornhusker Kickback, the Florida Gatoraide, and the $60 billion union payoff Obama personally negotiated in the backrooms of the White House, not on C-SPAN, will become the law of the land. As Obama signs the bill somebody should ask him what they really gave Rep Stupak to get him to sign onto a bill that will open the floodgates to taxpayer funded abortions? The worthless Executive order Obama signed certainly didn't get his vote. We will never know how many hundreds of billions will have to be borrowed to pay for the votes Obama, Pelosi, and Reid bought. It should be quite a bill signing, even a notorious one!!!!

READ the financial section QUOTE:
"Yet the bill would not create the thing that insurers feared most: a government-run public option, a health plan that would compete with the private insurers."

I read that as the health care insurance companies are still 'free' to set rates to what ever they can to continue to make 'profits'

again meaning to me.... ever increasing rate increases, especially now since they got to cover the higher (no cap) and pre-conditions COSTS...

and final quote;
"Currently, insurers seek to protect profits by trying to enroll only the healthiest individuals, while also charging enough to recoup the expense of covering sick people. But the legislation requires insurers to cover even people with potentially costly pre-existing conditions. "

WAKE UP AMERICA... Congress just happily gave you a bill of goods

its SAD but true, check out the stock market today.

But really it was a FAKE HEALTH REFORM LAW. Giving us 'access' to (affordable) health care???? Access maybe but definitely not AFFORDABLE.

This bill does NOTHING to make health care AFFORDABLE ! THE 'for profit' health insurance companies can still RAISE rates (as they have for years !

And you BET they will now raise it more to cover the 'pre-condition' policies they will have to issue !

SO WHAT CHANGED? I cannot afford health insurance before this and the government run 'exchange' cost will be ???? or the subsidy will be ???? DO YOU really think it will be sufficient to help with the EVER increasing 'for profit' insurance companies????

YOU drink way too much Kool-AID to think this LAW was a precedent.

YOU can roll manure in sugar but it still isn't a jelly donut

What this means to me:

What was said:

President Obama, Face the Nation, September 20, 2009

Obama: No, the difference is that they're making huge profits on it, Bob. I mean, let's take the Medicare HMO programs that are being run by insurance companies. It's estimated by everybody that they're overcharging by about 14 percent. This amounts to about $177 billion over 10 years. About $17 billion a year, $18 billion a year. That's just going to pad their profits, hasn't been shown to make Medicare recipients any healthier. And in fact because those huge subsidies are going to insurance companies, Medicare recipients are not getting a good deal. Now if we are enforcing what should be the rules around Medicare and making sure the people are getting a bang for the buck, it's not going to be possible for insurance companies to simply pass on those costs to Medicare recipients because ultimately it's Uncle Sam that's paying for those services anyway.

(guess who Uncle Sam is, duh, yeah thats right all US Taxpayers).

So the President knows about the big bad Insurance Corporations.

What is done:

Rewards the Insurance Corporations, Medical Device Industry, and Pharmaceutical Industry for Campaign Contributions (for November 2010 Elections).

THE PRESIDENT'S PROPOSAL February 22, 2010

Page 10. Manditory Insurance, fined or jail (more suckers for the Insurance Corporations to deny claims): "Like the drug industry, the health insurance industry stands to gain as more Americans get coverage."

Page 10. "The medical device industry also stands to gain from expanding health insurance coverage."

Page 9. "Both policies will result in new revenue for the pharmaceutical industry."

BY GETTING THE INSURANCE CORPORATIONS OUT OF THE MEDICAL PROFESSION

What Congress Gets:

"We're able to access that health care 24 hours a day when we're in Washington," Graham said, leading us to the Attending Physician's Office, a clinic inside the U.S. Capitol. They don't even have to leave the office.

About half of the members of Congress, including House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, use the Attending Physician benefit. For $42 a month, they can get all the primary care they need - physical therapy, X-rays, minor surgery, specialists and a pharmacy for emergencies - no appointment needed.

They also get VIP hospital treatment from the best doctors at Bethesda Naval Hospital. And they have a reserved spot at the elite Ward 72 at Walter Reed Army Medical Center, where the late Sen. Strom Thurmond spent a lot of time.

Outpatient care is free. Well, free for them. Your tax dollars pick up the cost.

The Hypocrisy is that the late Senator Kennedy of whom the Democratic Party refer to as the champion of this so called Health Care Reform used the Medical Services listed above for $42 per month. As well as Bethesda Naval Hospital (reference New Media footage of his departure after treatment at Bethesda).

We want what they have for $42 per month. Not this Insurance Scam (manditory purchase of Insurance, more suckers for denial of claims).

If it is good enough for the President, Vice President, Speaker of the House, Senator Max Baucas, Congress, and all those trying ram something up our arses that they will never use (be screwed over by).

We want what they have for $42 per month.

But what exactly was passed? The truth is that almost nothing was passed for ordinary people. This bill really doesnt do anything much for four years!!!! The Republicans can easily win the congress and senate and put this bill in the garbage can before it ever does anything...in the end this bill is nothing more than a distant promise!!!! THIS BILL IS ALMOST NOTHING AT ALL!!!! THIS IS "VOTE FOR US THREE TIMES....AND WE'LL SEE ABOUT GETTING YOU SOME HEALTH COVERAGE...MAYBE"....THIS IS A DISAPPOINTMENT OF THE HIGHEST KIND...THE REPUBLICANS HAVE NOTHING TO BALL ABOUT...THEY ACTUALLY GOT EVERYTHING THEY WANTED...A BILL THAT REALLY DOES NOT MUCH AT ALL FOR YEARS...AND PROBABLY NEVER!!!! This is an absurdity.

you are so right. People claim that the 32 million Americans will now 'GET" insurance. I don't think so. If they elect to get it from a regular (FOR PROFIT) insurance company, if they have pre-conditions, the cost will still be VERY HIGH and 'not' affordable even with subsidies, who thinks poverty level people can afford insurance and hope on April 15 they will get money back? They don't even 'pay' much taxes to get a refund. SOME states presently are holding back refunds because of their in debt budgets!

ONLY when the government 'CAPS' insurance or creates 'single payer' in states will costs come down or be AFFORDABLE.

You'll all just drank some more POLITICIAN feed cool-aid, whether democrat in this case or Republican.

SAD DAY in America just because all this WORK for literally nothing..

there is a saying out in the mfg world,... DON"T CONFUSE ACTIVITY with RESULTS... "Business Week"

and

you can fool some (most) of the people some (most) of the time, especially if they are uneducated or decide to be 'ignorant' (versus stupid)

REGULATE PROFIT INSURANCE COMPANIES!

Okay, so "The Bill" is a shoe-in. But what comes next?

So, we have gone from covering 83% of the population to 95% of the population. Where are the doctors going to come from? What will happen with malpractice claims, will the government subsidize those, also? Or will they also subsidize the future doctors education? Or fast-track that education to 'get them in the field?'

Hospitals. Many doctors cannot take in new patients, so what are the hospitals to do? The people will go to the hospital then, as they do now, for everything from paper cuts to jammed fingers - let alone those that REALLY need to be there!

The list can go on and on. But 'WE' now have health care!

Just a few, of many questions to be asked....

I still dont see where people see this bill doing anything at all....THIS BILL IS ABSURD IT IS TARGETING 2014 AS THE YEAR FOR SOMETHING TO HAPPEN, BUT ALL IN ALL NOT MUCH AT ALL EVEN THEN!!!! THIS IS NOT A VICTORY. AND THE AMERICAN PEOPLE HAVE NOTHING MUCH TO CELEBRATE...THIS IS SOMETHING OF A CON JOB ON THE AMERICAN PEOPLE!!!! THERE IS NOTHING IN THIS BILL THAT DOES ANYTHING FOR ANYONE UNLESS WE ALL PROMISE TO VOTE FOR THE DEMOCRATS FOR THE NEXT THREE TIMES THEY FACE ELECTION!!!! THIS IS TERRIBLE LEGISLATING, A CON JOB. I SUPPORT THE DEMS, BUT THE MORE I LOOK AT THIS BILL I WONDER WHOSE SIDE ARE THEY ON? THIS BILL HAS GIVEN INSURANCE COMPANIES SOMETHING TO CELEBRATE, JUST CHECK WALL STREET OUT, CHECK THE INSURANCE COMPANIES AND SEE WHAT I MEAN....
