House Ethics Committee Ends Eric Massa Investigation
The committee often -- though not always -- drops investigations when the member in question resigns.
Massa had been under investigation for allegedly groping multiple male staffers and behaving inappropriately with interns, according to reports. His resignation went into effect on Monday.
Republicans this morning were calling for the investigation to continue.
Democratic Rep. Chris Van Hollen told ABC News Monday that "there may be other forums [besides the ethics committee] in which those individuals can pursue those complaints, so that's something that will be looked at as we move forward."
