Alleged U.K. Chicken-Licker Due in Court

The brief BBC report says Adeel Ayub, 30, is also accused of slashing co-workers coats and smashing eggs in his bizarre workplace transgressions.
He is due in court on Dec. 15.
The BBC did not say what punishment Ayub could face if convicted of the fowl crimes, nor did the report suggest any possible motive. One more detail missing from the story: whether Ayub was allegedly licking packaged or unpackaged poultry.
Ayub worked for the Asda supermarket chain when a co-worker shot the alleged video evidence in 2005, which was then handed over to police.
Asda was wholly owned, until just last month, by Walmart.

That's no excuse to be a terrorist.
Slashing coats charge, he will be offered employment working with a clothes designer at market wage.
Smashing eggs, he will be sentenced to community service at a food kitchen to use his skills for the public good.
erasmus, what is it with people complaining "is this news" or "who cares" but yet they read the article and take the time to comment on it? I don't get it.
I don't get it either. Some people aren't happy unless they are whining about something. Someone will be saying "MOVE ON PEOPLE", yet they are posting right along with everyone else.
"And yes Cyber, strange criminal behavior does make it on the news occasionally. News doesn't always have to be doom and gloom."
Yeah, it's nice to have the strange and silly every once in awhile. : )

At the meat counter....almost every supermarket in the U.S. has an open meat counter, with un-packaged chickens, steak, etc like in a butcher shop.....is everything wrapped in plastic in British Columbia ?
Yes, in the supermarkets, most meat is packaged. They cut the meat there, and then package it. If you go to an actual "meat" store, they do have open meat counters.
