Aisha el-Qaddafi, the 36-year-old lawyer daughter of embattled Libyan leader Muammar Qaddafi told the New York Times in an exclusive interview that she likes telling her three children bedtime stories about life after death, especially during the war.

"To make them ready," she said during the interview, "because in a time of war you never know when a rocket or a bomb might hit you, and that will be the end."

Qaddafi, who once served on Saddam Hussein's defense team, compared NATO's efforts in Libya to the U.S. invasion of Iraq, predicting a situation even worse for Libya's future.

Complete coverage: Anger in the Arab world

"The opposition in Iraq told the West that when you come to Iraq they will greet you with roses," Qaddafi told the New York Times. "Almost 10 years later they are receiving the Americans with bullets, and, believe me, the situation in Libya will be much worse."

The only daughter of Muammar Qaddafi insulted both Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and President Barack Obama, telling the New York Times that Obama "achieved nothing so far" and asking Clinton, "Why didn't you leave the White House when you found out about the cheating of your husband?"

According to the New York Times, Qaddafi repeatedly asked for talks, saying, "The world should come together at a round table...under the auspices of international organizations," while dismissing negotiations with the opposition, calling them "terrorists".

Qaddafi also laughed at the irony of the United Nations referring her to the International Criminal Court recently, when it once "begged" her to be a UN goodwill ambassador.

When asked about her father's mindset, Qaddafi told the New York Times, "He is as strong as the world knows him." She was sure that the people of Libya supported him. "He is quite sure that the Libyan people are loyal to him," said Qaddafi.

Syria is currently using their military to slaughter their citizens but the worlds' leaders are apparently looking the other way. It makes us and the United Nations look as if we are picking on Libya because they have a weak military. What we're doing in Libya gives justification to other Small countries that are now looking to build up their military and arm themselves with super weapons. They can say that Libya got attacked because they're weak militarily and are unable to cause much damage to an attacking country. Syria on the other hand didn't get attacked because they have a stronger more modern military and are capable of causing tremendous damage to any attacking country.

The "UN" is NOT being used here the same way as Libya. Such total BS, so selective, I guess Syrian "civilians" don't matter as much. Maybe the Syrians civilians should "discover" oil in Syria and setup a "Transitional National Council"... But seriously the Syrian Government knows the "West" is **** scared of causing ANY disruption in THAT area. So much for all the "goodwill" shown to Ghadaffi, for giving up his WMD's, now for sure all the regimes are going to arm to the teeth and make it a nightmare if attacked.

I think they have established that one of the rebel leaders is in fact the same terrorists we had and released. We need to stop interferring in civil wars in other nations.

To be more specific: Your government/military needs to stop engaging in terrorist acts (bombing cities, assassinations, propaganda).

why is it you people never recognize that these acts of terrorism you accuse the US of perpetrating would not happen if the ISlamic terrorist would stop attacking? There is cause and effect yet you people only focus on half the equation. If the Islamists would allow it the world would be a peaceful place, that's the reality of this struggle.

"I hope for the people of Libya who deserve true freedom like everyone else that this man and his entire family get what is coming to them and they are able to put in a true democracy in that country." Quote from above comment.

"Does the United States with it's secret government have true democracy, or even some form of democracy?" My comment.

"Some form of democracy" would be me getting to vote for who my president will be. The people of Libya do not have this choice. Not going down the rathole of what you think our "secret government" is about. Although the US has its own issues, I think it's reasonable to say it is a much better place to live in general due to the way we operate. The people of Libya deserve better.

Conspiracy theories aside... I don't support another war, this Libya adventure is a huge miscalculation by the USA. The whole middle east has been a groundswell of the people, let them work it out for themselves. US involvement will change the nature of this being authentic and legitimate in the long run.

On the other hand, quite a number of people here in the USA see what Bill Clinton did as being "Trashy" and though I do not judge him politically for it, its trashy nonetheless on a personal level. So, when people in the public eye do things like that they open themselves to comment... I guess that is all the Libyans can do to "retaliate" to the missile raining down on them...

I don't like either of the Clintons to be very honest but this chicks comment to Hillary Clinton about Bill Clintons affair was a low blow. She really showed how low class and trashy she is- like father like daughter apparently. Her dad is a straight up ganster thug who I think would cut anyone in a millisecond if they got in his way. You can see a violent scary monster of a man when you look in his eyes. I hope for the people of Libya who deserve true freedom like everyone else that this man and his entire family get what is coming to them and they are able to put in a true democracy in that country.
