War of the Jihadi Blogs!

It's common to hear of cyber attacks being carried out by security agencies or Western hackers to rid the web of the jihadi Internet forums. However this time, jihadi hackers from one website attacked another jihadi website, al- Medad, and defaced its main page with a statement explaining why they took down the website.

Al Medad website often carried direct links to the latest speeches of al Qaeda leaders or the latest attack videos from Iraq. The home page now is a black page with al Qaeda's banner on top and a message saying "this website has been hijacked by 'Mighty Sword' and 'Mujahid Pen.'"

The two hackers accused al Medad's webmaster, a man called Mehdar, of posing as a jihad supporter, running a jihadi website, while being a Shiite who secretly conspired against the mujaheddin.

To prove their point, they posted two audio files, one with the voice of Mehdar eulogizing slain al Qaeda leader in Iraq Abu Musaab al Zarqawi, and another one with the voice of a Shiite man who often attacks the mujahideen in the Shiite paltalk rooms. They claimed that the voices on both tapes were identical.
