Palin Makes Final Ohio Push

(CBS)
From CBS News' Scott Conroy:

(CANTON, OHIO) - Since becoming the Republican vice presidential nominee, Sarah Palin has spent more time in Ohio than any other state but Pennsylvania. On Sunday, she'll blanket the state one last time before Election Day, holding rallies in Canton, Marietta, Columbus and Batavia.

The amount of time Palin is spending in Ohio in the final days shows just how crucial the Republicans consider victory in the state to be. On Monday morning, the Alaska governor will hold one final Ohio rally in Lakewood, just outside Cleveland.

Most recent polls show the Democrats with a slight lead in Ohio, but Republicans have been heartened by a Mason/Dixon survey showing McCain gaining a two-point advantage over Obama.

Over the last couple of days, Palin has been sticking closely to the script — using the same language at every stop to hammer Obama over the Democrat's tax plan, rather than raising questions about his personal associations, as she has done many times in the past.

Dear annthesenior,
The reason Obama can spend so much is because there are so many ordinary Americans who have donated to his campaign. There''s nothing wrong with that.

Barack understands the lives of the middle and lower class because he''s one of us and has spent his career working for us. McCain doesn''t have nearly the same sense of what life is like in our shoes - which is how he can give tax cuts to the enormously rich and think that''s good for America.

I sincerely believe Barak Obama is exploiting Black Americans, Our Youth and whoever else he has convinced that he is some kind of Messiah that has come to save you from the big bad capitalists of America. As he sits in his own multimillion dollar mansion and spends four times the money as anyone has ever spent on an election he has his own agenda that could ruin this great country we live in. It doesn''t matter at this point what political party you are affiliated with or how much education you have. Use your BRAIN! It only takes common sense to see that John McCain loves America and is ready to work for all of us to get our economy back on track and keep us safe. I am only a lower middle class American who grew up with very little, but a strong sense of right and wrong. And, Barak Obama is wrong for America.
